1 Inspect the apparatus

2 Put on the mask
Make sure the mask fits snugly over your
face and that there are no leaks. You can
test the mask for leaks by filling it with
water and then blowing the water out. If
you can blow the water out easily, the
mask is not leaking.

3 Connect the hose
Connect the hose to the mask and
regulator. Make sure the hose is properly
connected to the mask and regulator.

4 Put on the regulator
Make sure the regulator fits snugly in
your mouth and that you can breathe
easily through it. You can test the
regulator by breathing through it on land.
If you can breathe easily and there are

5 Connect the cylinders
Connect the cylinders to the regulator.
Make sure the cylinders are properly
connected to the regulator.

6 Turn on the cylinders
Make sure the cylinders are turned on
and that the pressure is correct.
