Narrator: Hello, everyone! Welcome to our short play, “Graduation and Glamour.” Today,
we’ll follow the story of Luciana, Estrella, Olivia, and Estela as they prepare for a special
celebration. As they visit the salon to get ready for their graduation party, let’s see what
adventures unfold. Get ready for a tale of hairstyles, impatience, and, of course, friendship.

Luciana: Hi, godo morning!

Estrella: Hello! We need hairstyles for our graduation party.

Olivia: Of course! Estela, can you help them?

Estela: Sure, come this way.

Everyone takes a set

Estela: What kind of hairstyle are you looking for?

Luciana: Something elegant, but it should match my dress. It’s low-cut and pastel pink.

Estela: A half updo would be perfect.

Luciana: Great, thanks.

Olivia: And what about you, Estrella?

Estrella: Just a braid, please.

Olivia: Excellent. Have a seat.

As Estela works on Luciana’s hair, Luciana becomes impatient.

Luciana: Hurry up, it’s taking too long.

Estela: Please be patient; rushing might cause problem.

Luciana: I’m in a hurry!

Due to Luciana’s impatience, something unexpected happens.

Estela: Smoke is coming out of the iron!

Luciana: What did you do to my hair?

Estrella: Don’t blame her; you were too impatient.

Olivia: What’s going on here?

Luciana: Don’t touch it; I’m burning my hair!

Estela: I didn’t mean to, but she wouldn’t listen and moved.

Olivia: Everyone, calm down.

After a while, the tension subsides.

Estrella: Sorry, my friend is upset.

Estela: No worries; it happens to all of us.

Luciana: Yes, forgive me. I was just stressed because I was running late.

Olivia: No problem. Let’s just sit down and finish the hairstyles.

The stylist eventually completes the hairstyles.

Estrella: Thank you so much; they look beautiful.

Olivia: Each session is $30.

Estrella: Here you go. Thank you.

Luciana: This is from me. Thanks.

Estela: Thank you very much. Come back soon.

Narrshe friends leave the salon with pretty hair, heading happily to the graduation party.
