Truck mixer management system with an online location system is

a software application that is designed to help companies manage their truck

mixer locations and records efficiently and effectively. The system is typically

used by companies in the concrete and construction industries that operate

truck mixers to transport concrete to construction sites.

The truck mixer management system with online location system typically

provides features such as real-time tracking of the location of each truck mixer,

monitoring of the status of each truck-mixer, and scheduling of deliveries.

The system may also include features for managing maintenance schedules,

tracking fuel consumption, and managing driver performance. The proponents

creates a website for Magnificon Ready Mix Concrete with the goal of assisting

the client in effectively managing operations and providing live tracking,

customer orders, and a more convenient experience and transaction. Both clients

and end users find the website's user interface to be friendly.

The system created using a number of tools to help the supporters

achieve their objectives. In order to generate dynamic web pages and make the

website interactive, the proponents chose JavaScript as their client-side scripting

language. Web developers frequently utilize JavaScript to build different types of

web applications and to provide them interactive capabilities.

The functionality of the entire system are tested using functional testing.

This is done to make sure the system is operating in accordance with its

functional requirements.

The proposed system will be tested using a technique known as "black

box testing," in which the tester does not have access to the internal

programming codes that the proposed system uses in the background. The tester

is only interested in the inputs, outputs, and outcomes that the system generates.

The reason this technique is known as "black testing" is that the tester only

interacts with the system through its user interface, stimulating the viewpoint of

end users who are unaware of the system's logic. The advocates utilize this

technique to run it and identify interface, output, and missing or inaccurate

functionality flaws.

Scope & Limitations of the Study

The proponents proposed a truck mixer management system with an online

location system where the administrator could see the location of the truck mixer.

Here, the administrator will also monitor the current speed and direction of travel

of the truck mixer. and the admin will manage the information of the truck mixer

and the driver. The driver will scan a QR code to administrator for the confirmed

departure of the truck mixer and will also manage the amount of product loaded

on the truck mixer. Also, the administrator can monitor and manage the

preventive maintenance schedule of the truck mixers.

Definition of Terms

The terms discussed in this part will help readers to fully understand the

concept and the content of the project especially to the people who are not so

familiar in the terms used throughout the development. The terms are defined by

the developers and gathered from trusted sources to validate conceptual and

operational definitions of the terms listed below.

QR CODE -The QR – which stands for “quick response” – code is basically

a bar code on steroids. While the bar code holds information horizontally, the QR

code does so both horizontally and vertically.[1]In the developed system the qr

code are scanning the driver for the confirm departure.

CHAPTER 2
REVIEW OF RELATED SYSTEMS AND STUDIES

This chapter includes the related systems that the developers gathered

and used as a guide when creating the system. From completed studies that are

very relevant to the produced system, the review of related systems is derived.

Additionally, this chapter gives developers suggestions on how to construct and

enhance the system.

Technical Background

A variety of technologies and frameworks, including PHP, Laravel were

used in the development of an Truck Mixer Management System With Online

Location System For Magnificon Ready Mix Concrete. Together, these elements

form a reliable and simple system for managing and tracking truck mixer

locations in the ready-mix concrete sector. Building dynamic and interactive

online applications starts with PHP, a server-side programming language. PHP

manages database interactions, promotes communication between the front-end

and back-end components of the Online Location System, and conducts server-

side processing by (Lerdorf et al., 2018). The development process is made

simpler by the effective PHP framework Laravel, which also encourages

maintainable and effective code. It provides a strong architectural framework for

creating online applications by offering features like routing, database ORM

Mapping), authentication, and caching. Laravel is a great option for creating the

Online Location System because of its expressive syntax and thorough

documentation by (Taylor, 2021).

A trustworthy and effective database must be used in the research of the

Truck Mixer Management System With Online Location System For Magnificon

Ready Mix Concrete in order to store and manage the system's data. The

MySQL database will be used for this study. A well-liked and frequently used

relational database management system (RDBMS), MySQL is renowned for its

dependability, scalability, and simplicity of use. It provides a wide range of

capabilities, including data integrity, security, and high performance, that are

ideal for web applications. SQL is a structured query language that MySQL

provides, making it simple to query and modify data in the database. Several

criteria led to the selection of MySQL as the Truck Mixer Management System

With Online Location System For Magnificon Ready Mix Concrete. First off,

because it is a relational database, MySQL enables the effective administration

and structuring of structured data. It offers the ability to specify connections

between various data elements, preserving the integrity and consistency of the

data. Additionally, MySQL has a reputation for being scalable, which is

important for processing enormous volumes of data produced by the online

positioning system. It is essential to 8have a database that can handle the

time data on fleet positions, statuses, and other pertinent information.

Additionally, MySQL provides strong security tools including user

authentication, access control, and encryption, all of which are essential for

safeguarding sensitive data in the system. This helps safeguard the security

and integrity of the data by ensuring that only authorized personnel have

access to it. Furthermore, MySQL has a sizable and vibrant user and

developer community that offers comprehensive documentation, support,

and a wealth of resources. This makes working with MySQL and utilizing its

features simpler for the development team.

The usage of CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) as a design tool is

crucial in the investigation of the Online Location System for Truck Mixer

Magnificon Ready Mix Concrete in order to produce an appealing and user-

friendly interface. The layout, colors, fonts, and overall design of online

applications can all be adjusted by developers using CSS .The usage of

CSS frameworks, preprocessors, and libraries can help to improve the user

interface and speed up the design process. Pre-designed templates,

responsive design features, and a variety of stylistic possibilities are offered

by well-known design tools like Bootstrap, Foundation, and Materialize. With

The choice will be influenced by a variety of elements, including the

preferred visual aesthetic, responsiveness, and compatibility with other

technologies, as well as the familiarity and preferences of the development

The selection of local hosting for the system's deployment is a crucial

factor in the investigation of the Truck Mixer Management System With

utilizing cloud-based hosting services, local hosting includes installing

servers or other equipment on the property of the organization to host the

application. Increased control over the hosting environment is one benefit of

local hosting. According to (Bartlett, 2019) their own requirements and

needs, organizations can modify and fine-tune the infrastructure.

Additionally, since critical data stays on the organization's property, local

hosting gives administrators more control over data privacy and security.

Local hosting does, however, provide certain difficulties. The required

infrastructure must be installed and maintained, which calls for technical

knowledge and resources. Higher initial

In the study of Almendral et al., [5] conducted study on exploiting

geofencing technology in the construction sector to improve field equipment

security, monitoring, and control, specifically for truck mixers. Geofencing

technology was critical in creating virtual boundaries around specific sites,

allowing for real-time monitoring and control of equipment movement.

Construction organizations might use geofencing technology to establish

virtual perimeters around specified regions such as construction sites or

storage yards. When a truck mixer equipped with geofencing approached or

exited these designated zones, the technology detected the incident and

initiated automated actions. Notifications or warnings could be sent to

appropriate persons, such as project managers or equipment supervisors.

In terms of field equipment security, monitoring, and control, the

deployment of geofencing technology offers various benefits. To begin with,

it improved security by actively tracking the movement of truck mixers and

other equipment. Any unlawful or suspect activity within the designated

zones might be discovered and treated immediately, lowering the risk of theft

or unauthorized usage. Geofencing technology also allows real- time

monitoring of equipment, giving construction businesses greater visibility

and control over their assets. Project managers could easily manage the

increased operational efficiency and resource optimization.

Furthermore, geofencing technology enabled real-time monitoring,

which was critical in construction project management. When equipment

entered or left authorized regions, project managers may receive quick

information, allowing them to make prompt choices and adjustments. This

proactive strategy to monitoring equipment movement aided in the

simplification of construction processes, the coordination of activities, and

the optimal allocation of resources depending on project requirements.

In the article by Nuqui et al., [6] investigated the impact of real-time

monitoring systems on fleet efficiency, specifically in the context of truck

Real-time monitoring systems also resulted in significant savings in fuel

consumption. Fleet managers were able to optimize routes, limit idle time, and

eliminate instances of inefficient fuel usage by having access to accurate and

up-to-date information on vehicle performance and routing. The study

discovered that fuel consumption was dramatically reduced, resulting in cost

According to Kumar et al., [7] provided a novel strategy to predictive

maintenance for concrete mixer trucks in their study. In the construction

business, they understood the need of preserving equipment reliability,

decreasing downtime, and optimizing maintenance costs. They used

machine learning algorithms and examined past data obtained by sensors

significant patterns and insights from sensor data using machine learning

techniques. These algorithms were developed to detect relationships

between different sensor readings and potential equipment problems. The

machine learning models were able to learn the patterns associated with

specific failure modes or maintenance requirements by analyzing previous

In the research of Zhao et al., [8] developed an intelligent dispatching

system for ready-mix concrete delivery trucks, with a particular emphasis on

truck mixers. Their technology used modern big data analytics techniques to

handle and analyze massive amounts of data from multiple sources. They

hoped to improve resource allocation, communication, and coordination in the

management system is proposed to overcome these difficulties. The system

uses GPS technology to track the exact location of concrete mixer trucks in real

time. Fleet managers may acquire reliable location data by providing each truck

with a GPS tracker, allowing them to monitor truck movement on a digital map.

This data is crucial for optimizing routes, spotting deviations or delays, and

making the necessary changes to ensure efficient transportation.

The system integrates mobile communication technologies, in addition

to GPS monitoring, to enable real-time data transmission between the trucks

and the central control system. This communication allows crucial information

such as truck status, load capacity, and delivery progress to be transmitted.

This real-time information is available to stakeholders such as fleet managers,

dispatchers, and even customers, allowing for greater coordination and

decision-making. Several essential characteristics of the integrated system

improve fleet management and operational efficiency. For starters, it allows for

real-time monitoring of vehicle whereabouts, giving fleet managers a full

view of their whole fleet. This information allows managers to assign the

nearest available truck to a certain work, reducing travel time and maximizing

resource allocation. 29

resource allocation.

Furthermore, the approach makes route optimization easier. The system

can recommend the most efficient routes for each concrete mixer truck by

monitoring real-time traffic data and taking into account parameters such as

distance, traffic congestion, and delivery priorities. This optimization aids in the

reduction of travel time, fuel consumption, and total operational costs. Another

important feature of the system is the ability to provide real-time information to

stakeholders. Dispatchers can track the progress of deliveries, allowing them to

provide clients with accurate arrival times. Customers may track the status of

their deliveries, increasing transparency and satisfaction. The system may also

generate automated reports on numerous performance parameters, allowing

fleet managers to analyze data and make informed decisions for continual

development.

CHAPTER 3
DESIGN AND METHODOLOGY
This chapter presents the different designs and methodologies used in

the development of the system. It also explains the type of research utilized in

the study and how it is related in the project.

Data Gathering

The developers conducted a data gathering and analyzation, and

developed a business monitoring site for Magnificon Company that helps them

enhance their monitoring system. This online location help the company to

monitor the truck regarding what time will they arrive from a location to another,

instead of waiting the message or waiting for a call of the driver, they can easily

open the system to monitor the travel from time to time. Since the company can

easily monitor the location of the truck, they can also respond to the follow

update of their client.

The researchers compiled all of the web-based system's requirements and

conducted research in a qualitative way. The qualitative approach was used by

the proponents. It is used to gain a better understanding of the underlying

reasons, beliefs, and motivations. It offers insights into the problem or aids in

the development of idea or hypothesis for future quantitative research.

Qualitative research entails gathering and analyzing non-numerical data in

order to better understand the concepts, opinions, or experiences.

In addition, the proponents conducted an interview to the general

manager of Magnificon Company to provide information that needed by the

proponents in this web- based system. Every information that they said will be a

guide to make an effective, friendly, and useful for the proposed system.

Project Concept

The main purpose of the project is to develop a business website with

Online Location System for Truck Mixer for Magnificon Company Ready Mix

Concrete. After conducting various interviews with the client, the developer

gathered enough information that helped them create a system that will help the

driver and the administrator to manage their business effectively by enhancing

its business system in order to track the location of the delivery from time to

time.

In the website, the admin was able to monitor their transaction more

effectively, they can add and view the information of their respected drivers and

users’ information furthermore, the administrator also has a record in the

incident and for the maintenance of the drivers. The driver was also able to

record the delivery, by putting their fuel consumption, their odometer use, and

also if they encounter any accident, they can record them for the administrator to make

maintenance schedule if it was in their protocol. Before the transaction the

administrator will first register or create an account for their driver or the

user. In this feature it will help the business manage and arrange the

information of the drivers to have fully trust with their workers.

Once the admin has successfully created an account, the driver will

be able to access the dashboard, and the notification bar to view their task,

then if the administrator received an order, they will evaluate the information

of the customer. Once the order has been validated by the business owners,

the system will inform the courier via notification from the administration by

using the website and will show the exact location of the driver to the location

of the delivery, plus they have the right to decline or accept the task by

selecting the button located below the live map.

To publish the website into the internet, the developers searched for a

web hosting site that will accommodate the system. The developers used Ho

stinger as the host of the developed website. The developers chose its

hosting package with full features and once the implementation of the

website is done, the client agrees to pay the monthly service of Magnificon

company., that was based on the name of the company Truck Mixer

Magnificon Company Ready Mix Concrete.

System Analysis and Design

The system analysis and design provide a graphical representation

of the design and implementation strategy utilized in the creation of the

proposed system, demonstrating context and data flow inside the web-

based system. This section presents the many processes and

approaches used in the website's creation to determine how the system

would function.

Development Methodology

Figure 2 illustrates the Web Development Life Cycle (WDLC)

utilized in creating web-based applications or systems. This methodology

serves as a guide for the proponents in ensuring the effectiveness and

legibility of the web-based system they are developing. The WDLC

consists of six phases that analyze and produce a successful web-based

system: planning, analysis, development, testing, release, and

maintenance.

The developers used the top-down approach employed by the

supporters to create the system's objectives and aims was described. The

advocates of the Top- Down Approach will start with a higher perspective

target and work backward to identify what actions different groups and

individuals should do to attain that goal.

Planning is the main stage of the diagram. Data requirements and

information are useful at this point in the development process since they

allow developers to fill the requirements of potential clients and start

figuring out what else they'll need as customers place orders.

The second phase purpose of project analysis is to validate the

effectiveness of the plan and ensure it aligns with the organization's

requirements. When deciding on the system's design, developers consider the

client's expectations. It is crucial to identify any potential challenges or

obstacles before starting the construction phase to minimize the chances of

future delays or costly modifications.

The third phase is design planning is an essential stage where the

project system's design is created. The focus is on developing a user-friendly

design that aligns with the client's preferences. Designers ensure that all the

necessary system functions are incorporated into the design.

The fourth phase is system implementation. The developers have

conducted testing on the system's functionalities to gather feedback from

clients and address any identified defects or errors.

The fifth phase is maintenance. Following the completion of testing, the

developers can make improvements to the system based on the feedback and

suggestions provided by clients. This stage also involves ongoing efforts to

enhance and maintain the system. functionality.

friendly. The system will be created using a number of tools to help the

supporters achieve their objectives.

The proponents will be using Figma to create a layout design after

receiving information from the clients about each order they encountered at their

company. After completion, the proponents showed the layout plan to the client.

The client will see a sample of the website's prospective layout. The proponents

would begin building the website utilizing a number of technologies that will help

them accomplish their goals after receiving the client's comments and input

The front end of the website will be built by the proponents using HTML,

short for Hypertext Markup Language, CSS, and JavaScript. The HTML code

will be used to create the website's framework. The advocates will benefit from

this by being able to format texts and photos and distinguish distinct sections

like the header, primary content, and footer. While jQuery is a JavaScript

library that makes client-side scripting jobs easier and improves the

functionality and interactivity of online pages, Laravel is a PHP framework that

offers a complete set of tools and capabilities for creating web applications.

In order to make the website's layout visually appealing for users, CSS

will be employed to structure it. It specifies how HTML elements should look in

print, on screens, and in other mediums. Additionally, it can manage the

layouts of several web pages at once utilizing a single CSS file attached to

numerous HTML files. CSS gave the proponents the power to alter the

website's design in accordance with the preferences of the client. The

proponents will utilize Bootstrap as their front-end development framework

because it comes with a selection of pre-made UI elements and styles. It is

based on CSS and includes JavaScript plugins, CSS styles, and an HTML grid

system for fast producing aesthetically pleasing user interfaces. Bootstrap

components that can be customized and utilized in various portions of a web

application.

In order to generate dynamic web pages and make the website interactive,

the proponents chose JavaScript as their client-side scripting language. Web

developers frequently utilize JavaScript to build different types of web

applications and to provide them interactive capabilities. JavaScript, which

enables dynamic material to be shown beautifully on web pages, is supported by

the majority of internet browsers.

The proponents will use PHP as their server-side programming language

and MySQL as their database to build the website's backend. PHP is a popular

open- source general-purpose scripting language that is especially well suited for

web development and can be integrated into HTML. PHP is an acronym for PHP:

Hypertext Preprocessor. PHP will be used by the proponents since it facilitates,

secures, and improves the reliability of website operations. The advocates will

also be able to design practical features and functions that will improve the site's

usability and accessibility. PHP enables the addition, erasure, and modification of

database-related elements. The MySQL database is extensively supported,

which is advantageous for the proponents as it is their chosen database for

storing data from the website.

SQL can be used by programmers to add, remove, and edit data in MySQL,

a relational database management system. It is quick, trustworthy, scalable, and

simple to use. The most widely used database for PHP is MySQL. It is a strong

program on its own, operates quickly, and effectively manages huge databases.

The advocates will use MySQL as the website's database. The data and

transaction records of the orders and data are kept in this location.

Testing and Evaluation

The important procedure of software testing for the suggested system will be

covered in this part. This process will guarantee the proposed system's quality

and dependability and help find and fix any faults that might have appeared

throughout the system's development. In order to match the expectations of the

client, this will enable the proponents to identify flaws and enhance their

functionality. The advocates will be helped by testing and evaluation to reduce

the likelihood of system failure and boost the effectiveness of the suggested

system.

To make sure that the proposed system will fulfill its requirements and

improve user-friendliness, the proponents will employ a variety of testing

procedures. The functionality of the entire system will be tested using functional

testing. 63

testing. This is done to make sure the system is operating in accordance with

its functional requirements. The proposed system will be tested using a

technique known as "black box testing," in which the tester does not have

access to the internal programming codes that the proposed system uses in

the background. The tester is only interested in the inputs, outputs, and

outcomes that the system generates. The reason this technique is known as

"black testing" is that the tester only interacts with the system through its user

interface, stimulating the viewpoint of end users who are unaware of the

system's logic. The advocates utilize this technique to run it and identify

interface, output, and missing or inaccurate functionality flaws.

Test Case

To determine whether the proposed truck mixer management system

with online location system effectively met the objectives, the proponents used

test cases to check whether a system could run appropriately. Furthermore,

by using a test case, it will be possible to determine whether the system is

ready for implementation.
