Connection of the Ethernet cable to the transmitters


FLUXUS F721, FLUXUS G721, PIOX S721
Attention! Observe the "Safety instructions for the use in explosive atmospheres" (see document SIFLUXUS).

• Remove the blind plug for the connection of the cable from the transmitter, if present (see Fig. 5.1).

• Open the cable gland of the cable. The compression part remains in the cap nut (see Fig. 5.2).
• Push the cable through the cap nut, the compression part, the basic part and the gasket ring (gasket ring only for cable
gland M20, not for cable gland 1/2 NPS).
• Insert the cable into the transmitter housing.
• Push the cable through the ferrite nut.
• Prepare the cable. For the preparation see the documents provided by the manufacturer.
• Mount the connector. For the mounting of the connector see the documents provided by the manufacturer.
• Insert the connector into the socket of the Ethernet interface (see Fig. 5.3). Place the cable in the housing as shown in
the figure.
• Fix the cable gland by screwing the cap nut onto the basic part.
• Fix the cable by tightening the cable gland with the ferrite nut.

• Open the cable gland of the cable. The compression part remains in the cap nut (see Fig. 5.4).
• Push the cable through the cap nut, the compression part and the basic part of the cable gland.
• Insert the cable into the housing.
• Prepare the cable. For the preparation see the documents provided by the manufacturer.
• Mount the connector. For the mounting of the connector see the documents provided by the manufacturer.
• Insert the connector into the socket of the Ethernet interface (see Fig. 5.3).
• Fix the folding ferrite core to the cable. Place the cable in the housing as shown in Fig. 5.5.
• Screw the gasket ring side of the reducer tightly into the housing of the transmitter.
• Fix the cable gland by screwing the cap nut onto the basic part.
