ROUGH DRAFT

Blue Line Hockey Sticks presentation script:

SLIDE 1:
Hello! My name is Rabia Malik and today I will be presenting to you why and how Blue Line
Hockey Sticks, could expand internationally in Germany.

SLIDE 2:
This is the table of contents. Everything I will present is in this order.

SLIDE 3:
The country I have decided to choose to expand Blue Line Hockey Sticks in, is Germany. Why
did I choose Germany, you may ask? I chose Germany because, Canada and Germany have a
long-lasting trade relationship. Some of the other reasons are because their economy,
geographical location, and skilled work force, are ideal. I will explain throughout the
presentation why they are ideal.

SLIDE 4:
The presetation will contain the world map, where Canada and Germany placed. The trade
relationship between the two trading countries and the major goods traded. Germany’s
economy and foreign direct investment will also be explained.

SLIDE 5:
This map shows where Canada and Germany are located on the world map. The distance
between Canada and Germany is 6,773 km or a 7hr and 47min flight.

SLIDE 6:
I will now explain Canada’s business relationship with Germany. A cultural agreement
between the two countries was signed in 1975, making them partners for 48 years.
Germany is Canada’s largest export market in the European Union and Germany is also
Canada’s seventh-largest trading partner. The two-way merchandise trade total went up to
$30 billion in 2022. Canada's imports from Germany were $22.5 billion in 2022. Canadian
exports to Germany were worth $7.5 billion in 2022.

SLIDE 7:
Here are a few facts on why I chose Germany, and how it connects to the major goods
traded between Canada and Germany. Germany is one of the largest economies in the
world. Germany is currently ranking 4th place worldwide and is also ranked 19th place on
list of richest countries in the world. Germany’s expantion rate was at around 6.87% in
2022.

SLIDE 8:
Here are the top three major goods Canada exports to Germany.

SLIDE 9:
Number one on the list is iron ore, which is worth $941 million.
SLIDE 10:
Precious metal ore places second on the list, having the worth of $375 million.

SLIDE 11:
And finally, at number three, precious metal scraps at the price of $361 million.

SLIDE 12:
Now I will talk about the top three major goods Canada imports from Germany.

SLIDE 13:
Ranking at number one is cars, at the price of $125 million. One of the most popular and
most imported brands being Mercedes.

SLIDE 14:
The second place being the packaged medicaments at $97.9 million.

SLIDE 15:
Third on the list is vaccines, blood, anistisera, toxins, and cultures, at the cost of $41.2
million.

SLIDE 16:
There are pros and cons to everything, and trading also takes part in this category. I will first
talk about the cons, meaning the trade barriers. The trade barriers betweeen Canada and
Germany have been taken into consideration and thought out thouroughly. The pros and
cons were weighed when thinking about Blue Line Hockey Sticks’ placement expantion.
Then trade barriers are that Germany’s import taxes are 19% and Canadas import taxes are
5%. The fee is paid to Germany’s custom authorities. Canadian exports to Germany were
worth $7.5 billion in 2022 while Canada's imports from Germany were $22.5 billion. The
currency from Canada and Germany is 1 CAD = 0.70 EUR

SLIDE 17:
According to research and facts the pros outweigh the cons in Germany and Canada’s trade
relationship. Germany’s economy is a highly developed social market. It has the largest
national economy in all of Europe and has the 4th largest national GDP in the world, almost
tied with Japan. Germany is the 4th largest economy after the United States, China, and
Japan. It is also the third largest export nation globally, 70% of the service sector contributes
to the largest part of the country's GDP

SLIDE 18:
Germany’s FDI or foreign direct investment:
Germany is one of the worlds most stable trading ecomnomy
They offer a secure economic and highly developed political framework.
Strategic location in the center of Europe
Political stability and has a good anchor in international relationships
Has the largest population in all the European union
56% of the population speaks English
Germany also has a reliable and good infrastructure
SLIDE 19:
In conclusion Germany is the perfect country to choose from canadas trading partners to
open and expand Blu Line Hockey Sticks. Germany is a perfect canidate because of their
economy, skilled work force, FDI, and the long-lasting relationship with Canada. Throughout
the presentation I have shown all the pros as to why Germany should be chosen.

Game structure
- Hockey games begin with singing the national anthem
- Main part of the game is made of three 20-minute periods
- Intermissions are what the 15-minute breaks are called between each period.
- An extra period called overtime, is played if the score is tied.
- If the overtime ends and the score is still tied, then the winner is determined by a
