by MCSbyPattie
Magical Crafting Studio (MCS)

A 3D Peyote Star is constructed by connecting 5 warped squares. A warped square

is a square that starts folding itself, so you end up with 2 mirrored triangles on both
sides.

You MUST have knowledge of how to make a 3D peyote Star. NO basic instructions are
included in this pattern.

SUPPLIES: Miyuki Delica 11/0

A – White - DB200: 8 grams
B – Black - DB10: 10 grams
C – Red - DB791: 11 grams

The bead amount is not a bead for bead count, you should have more then you need.
ALL COLORS ARE ONLY SUGGESTIONS. PICK COLORS THAT YOU LOVE.

Additional Supplies #10 or #12 beading needle, Fireline 6# or 8# or beading thread of

your choice, and a beading mat or surface. Stuffing is optional, it will help to stabilize
the star. You will need a small amount of stuffing.

The beads in ( ) are your corner beads thru out, and you will be picking up 2 beads.
These beads will form the herringbone stitch. REPEAT means that you will repeat the
row to make the other 2 sides of your warped square.
The remaining numbers and letters are picked up 1 at a time and stitched along the
sides of the square; eg 2G means the next 2 beads are color G.

Fold in half along the herringbone beads so that the left side of the working thread
is coming from the left hand bead of the 2 bead herringbone.

Second, Third, Fourth & Fifth Segments: Complete rows 1 – 22 of the first
segment. Join the second segment to the first segment following the instructions
below.
Joining The Segments Together: Fold the segments in half as described above and
place in front of you with 1st segment on the left, 2nd segment on the right. The
working thread is coming from the left hand bead of the 2 bead herringbone and
zip up the star.

After the fifth segment has been attached, you should be at the center of the star.
Weave the thread through the 5 single beads at the end of the herringbone a
couple of times to pull the center together. A single bead can be added to the
center to fill the gap if needed. Feed the needle through the center to the other
side. Weave the thread through the 5 single beads a couple of times to pull this
center together.

To add a hanging loop, weave thread up to a single bead at the top of any point,
pick up 60 beads and weave thread through beads 2 or 3 times. Finish off thread
by weaving through several beads and clip off.

You have now finished your star. I hope you enjoyed making it. Thanks.
