Introduction

The skyline of a city embodies its essence, reflecting its history, culture, and aspirations. As
architects of the built environment, it is our responsibility to understand and critically
evaluate the aesthetic qualities of urban landscapes.
Lahore's urban fabric manifests a fascinating blend of residential and commercial no matter
which society you live within, this inherent diversity does not translate into a cohesive and
aesthetically pleasing picture.
Upon careful analyzation of skyline from roof the assumptions were made in following
categories

Proposed modifications

Conventional rooftops, often mere slabs of concrete, hold untapped potential to reinvent our
living spaces and redefine the urban landscape. This is not merely about adding a rooftop
garden or installing solar panels. It's about reimagining the very role of rooftops in our urban
landscape. It's about transforming those neglected concrete canvases into havens of greenery,
functionality, and social interaction, one rooftop at a time.

Factor Assumptions
1 Policies and Bylaws: So far, the LDA has restrictions to maximum height set
but not the floor to floor height which case a hindrance in
equal skyline as all floor levels are different.
2 Materiality and Like Eden villas in Lahore where they have certain rules

society should have certain options which go with each
other so no matter what material is used all will be n
harmony
3 Functionality and Purposeful gardens on roof and terraces are important that
sustainability: don’t just go for aesthetic but also serve purposes such as
harvest vegetation
4 others All electrical wires should be underground now, as in
many new societies, or very intelligently concealed.

By embracing this vision, residential societies can break free from the monotony of
unplanned skylines and craft unique, cohesive landscapes that reflect their residents' identity
and enhance the city's visual tapestry.
