 Assess patient’s general condition   
 Explain to patient the need and purpose for making bed and how he/she has to   
cooperate
 Assess whether there is need for change of linen and collect fresh linen as   
needed
 Provide privacy   
 Move furniture away from the bed   
 Place the tray on bedside locker. Keep hamper/linen basket at the bed side   
 Place stool at foot end of bed and place fresh linen on it in the reverse order of   
use
 Don personal protective Equipment's   
 Lock the patient bed, lower side rails if present   
 Remove used linen, put in laundry bag or hamper without contaminating   
uniform,
 Remove gloves and wash your hands   
 Place the bottom sheet, untold the sheet across the mattress than unfold from   
the foot part toward the head of the bed
 Tuck the sheet under the head at mattress on one side of the bed, miter the   
corner and the sheet under the mattress, and move to the opposite site of the
bed.
 Place the top sheet/blanket and tuck the foot part   
 Open one side of the bed try folding the top covers back where the patient will   
be transferred.
 Put plow with clean Pillowcase.   
 Prepare Wrinkle free bed.   
 Applied proper Body mechanics accurately during the procedure.   
 Replace all the articles   
