C2: TELEPHONE SYSTEM

PART I : GENERAL

A. SCOPE OF WORK

Provision PABX, MDF, SPB, PB and cable connection to point outlet complete equipment and accessories as shown on
the drawings.

B. REGULATIONS

The whole installation shall be designed and installed in accordance with the drawing and Specification and also the
following regulations:

1. Regulations of Local Telecommunication Authority of Indonesia.

2. The Perumtel’s Regulation.
3. Any other authorities having jurisdiction over the installation including equipment and material.

C. SUBMITTALS

All material sample, shop drawing, brochures and installation sample must be submitted for Architect’s or engineer
approval prior install on the job site. Submittal must refer to section A6: SUBMITTALS

PART II : MATERIAL AND EQUIPMENT

A. JUNCTION BOXES AND CONDUITS PIPE

Junction boxes shall be provided at suitable interval for easy installation of telephone cable and also to comply with
Perumtel’s requirements. The junction box should be anti corrosive.
Pipe conduits for telephone cable should refer to conduits pipe on electrical.

B. MAIN DISTRIBUTION FRAME (MDF) AND INTERMEDIATE DISTRIBUTION FRAME ( IDF)

MDF and IDF must be steel box coated by powdered coating with gray color flush type.
To supply and install the MDF and IDF as shown on the drawings accordance to Perumtel’s guidelines. All angle iron
and bracket used shall be of galvanized including bolts and nut.

C. TELEPHONE CABLES AND TERMINAL BLOCK

1. The block terminal shall be provided at each building as a connection facility for telephone outlets. The box shall be
of heavy-duty uPVC modular type with screwed or hinged covered.
2. The block terminal complying Perumtel’s requirements shall be installed in the cover box with approved link and
telephone cables termination in accordance to Perumtel’s requirements. Telephone cable shall be of minimum 2-
pair cables.
3. The main cable underground using jelly cable ex supreme 6 mm2 diameter and inside building using indoor cable
with conduit pipes diameter 4 mm2.

PART III : INSTALATTION AND COMMISIONIG TEST

A. UNDERGROUND CABLE

1. Excavation for cable must be not exceeding than 90 cm from top surface.
2. Concrete cover after laying the cable is necessary and has language telephone cable.
3. Contractor shall install whole complete telephone system accordance to PT. Telkom regulation.
4. Final installation will subject to adjustment and setting out the PABX system, accordance to the Alam KulKul Resort
Kuta Operator requirement.

B. INDOOR CABLE

1. Indoor telephone cable has to be installed with conduits pipe inside the wall or even on air.
2. All joints to the fittings have to be utilizing proper connector.
3. Overall installation shall following PT. Telkom regulation.

C. OPERATOR TRAINING

1. Fully handling over will perform where the PABX supplier has done operator training to operate the PABX.
2. At once the Supplier of PABX must submit the liaison from PT. Telkom to operate the PABX system.
