Third Trimester 27 – 40 weeks Twins/triplets count as one Gestational Age (40 weeks) T – Term Births Number born at term – number of completed weeks counting from the first day of LMP. > 37th week of gestation – Describes how far along the pregnancy is Includes alive or stillborn Twins/triplets count as one Fetal Age (38 weeks) – Age of the developing baby, counting from P – Pre-term Births Delivered at 20th – 36 the estimated date of conception. 6/7th weeks’ gestation. – Usually 2 weeks less than the gestational age. Includes a alive or stillborn Prenatal Terms Twins/triplets count as one. Gravida/Gravidity A – Abortion/Miscarriages Delivered before – Number of pregnancies 20th weeks gestation. Nulligravida Never been pregnant Counts with gravidity Primigravida Pregnant for the first time Twins/triplets count as one
Multigravida 2+ Pregnancies L – Living Children # of current living children
Parity Twin/triplets count individually.
– Number of pregnancies that have reached viability (20 weeks’ gestation) whether born alive or not.
Preterm – Pregnancies reached 20 weeks’ but ended before 37 weeks’
Term – Pregnancies lasted between 37 and 42 weeks’.
