Shaastra Accommodation Information

General Information
1. Upon completing payment, a unique Shaastra ID will be issued, and a confirmation
email sent within 24 hours to the registered email address.

2. On arrival, report to the Hospitality Desk at KV Ground or the Control Room in the
designated hostel (details provided via email).

3. Requirements for Reporting: Shaastra ID, college ID, and a self-attested copy of
any government ID.

4. After successful registration, receive a mattress, pillows, and room keys.

5. Accommodation valid from 8 AM on January 2, 2023, to 8 AM on January 9, 2023.
6. For Saarang stay, extend accommodation until January 10, settling the remaining
amount with the Saarang team separately.

Instructions
1. Students not in IIT-M hostels must purchase the Shaastra passport for full fest access.
2. Guest Responsibility: Shaastra, IIT-M, is not liable for valuable items. Guests must
ensure their safekeeping and are responsible for any mishaps during the stay.

3. Mattress and Pillow Collection: Confirmed guests can collect and return these
items at designated hostel rooms.

4. ID Requirements: Carry valid government and college photo IDs at all times.
5. Prohibited items include alcohol, cigarettes, drugs, and any other deemed unsafe.
6. Security and Shaastra team decisions are final in case of disputes.
7. Guests must maintain campus cleanliness, follow campus rules, and uphold propriety.
8. Only guests with confirmed accommodations are allowed in IIT M Hostels.
9. Random checks will be conducted to prevent illegal stays on campus.
10. Summit delegates do not need to buy Shaastra passports.

Penalty: Rs1000 per participant for harming property or materials of Shaastra.

Meals: Stay includes breakfast; other meals can be purchased from Shaastra stalls or
campus restaurants.

Cancellation Policy
1. Confirmed accommodation can be canceled via email (subject: ”Cancellation of Accom-
modation”) with team ID and member details.

2. Before December 31, 2023, a 75% refund is applicable. No refunds after this deadline.
3. In-person bookings are non-refundable after payment.
