A GLIMPSE OF HISTORY
Delhi Public School Bangalore East is a member of the
prestigious DPS family comprising of over a hundred
schools located in India as well as overseas and is
managed by the Delhi Public School Society. The DPS
network in India spans across the geographical extent of
our country and beyond. The schools abroad include
the ones at Nepal, Indonesia, Singapore, United Arab

CURRICULUM
Delhi Public School Bangalore East follows the CBSE
curriculum with equal emphasis on academics, co-
curricular and extracurricular activities. It aims to hone the
intellectual, social, emotional, physical, spiritual and
ethical development of every student.
KINDERGARTEN
We believe that the foundation of life is laid in these
formative years i.e. in the Kindergarten and Elementary
years of Education. The innovative child–centric approach
helps us to understand and nurture the child’s capacity of
concentration, memory, observation, reasoning, judgment
and creativity. Yoga is an intrinsic part of the school system
and enhances the physical and mental abilities of children.
Holistic development is the main thrust of all activities and
celebration.

A system of ‘Continuous Informal Evaluation’ based
on class work, theme–based worksheets and observation
sessions is followed. A biannual assessment report
outlines the various aspects of the child’s development.
TECHNOLOGY INTEGRATED LEARNING
Each classroom is upgraded as a multimedia DigiClass
including audiovisual aids, demonstrations, simulations,
rhymes, games, class libraries, puppet theatre, activity
sheets and e-books. We also help the UKG students
develop lateral thinking by engaging in Lego play
conducted by STEM-Robotics education. It employs
principles of cognitive learning by using multi-media
based animations, graphics and videos to explain
concepts in a very interactive and intuitive manner. The
students are provided with a perfect environment for
learning with a massive multimedia resource library for
delivery of subjects in a collaborative way.
THE PRIMARY AND SECONDARY
SCHOOLING YEARS
The CBSE based curriculum is deftly delivered by a team
of proficient teachers through group discussions, projects

The Science and Mathematics labs cater to the

Energizing Inherent Potential
House System
Students are grouped into four houses viz. Cauvery,
Ganga, Godavari and Narmada in order to encourage
greater participation in sports, cultural and literary
activities. Belonging to a particular house generates
camaraderie, motivation, enthusiasm, and enhances a
healthy spirit of competition among students. House T–
Shirts and track pants form a compulsory part of the attire
on specific days, adding a surge of colour on the campus.
Festivals and Special Events
To create awareness about India’s cultural diversity and
national ethos, all the important national festivals and
special days are celebrated at school with much
enthusiasm and gaiety.
Hobby Clubs
The school offers wide range of Hobby Clubs where each
student selects an activity of his/her choice and pursues
it as a hobby. This facilitates the development of their
inherent talents. The clubs include Robotics, Pottery,
Music, Reading, Karate, Taekwondo, Gymnastics,

We take note of national and international festivals as
well as anniversaries and, celebrate them through dance,

Field Trips and Excursions
Field Trips and excursions are extensions of concepts
explored in the classroom as facts reveal themselves in
the form of experiences, and are etched in our minds
permanently. In pursuance of the methodology of
‘learning by doing’, the children are exposed to camping
and coping with life skills, thus making them self-reliant
and adventurous.
Sharing and Caring
With a view to inculcate a habit of sharing and caring,
the school undertakes various social work projects, many
of which form a part of the CBSE Value Based Education
Programme. In order to sensitise the students and give

A GREEN SCHOOL
We, at Delhi Public School Bangalore East, are very proud
to call ourselves a ‘Green School’. Being environment
friendly is a task we have taken upon ourselves. We have
been the recipient of the Green Badge Award for three
consecutive times since 2014.

We proudly house the Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL) which is a result of Atal
Innovation Mission (AIM) -a flagship initiative of the Government of India,
at NITI Aayog with a focus to build an innovative and entrepreneurial
ecosystem. This will foster curiosity, creativity and imagination in young
minds; and inculcate skills such as design mindset, computational

Finance Experience and Engagement Lab

We are proud to have our very own Finance Experience and Engagement
Lab. The (FEEL) Finance lab builds on the happiness factor and is
completely based on gamification pedagogy. This pedagogy ensures that
there is maximum engagement and effectiveness in teaching-learning.
Acute care has been taken to ensure every activity and game is responsive,
immersive, and provides an equitable learning environment.
