Reading
Read the letter.
Hi, Jason.
Guess what! I finally found a part-time job. I’ve just started work as a waitress in a restaurant near the
college. As I said in my last letter, I have to earn money because everything here is expensive. I’ve
worked there for three nights so far, and it’s going well, although I’ve already spent everything I’ve
earned!
I love living here. The weather is great, so I go to the beach after class most afternoons. Yesterday at
this time I was sunbathing! My Spanish is getting better, too. Last night I met
some Spanish friends and I didn’t speak a word of English the whole evening. It was tiring, but I was
very pleased.
You should come and visit over the summer. Seville is smaller than Boston, but it’s more fun. There are
a lot of festivals here. It’s “Semana Santa” next week, so I’m going to watch the parade and dance
flamenco in the street!
Oh, can I ask you a favor? Please could
you send me a picture of Charlie. You know how much I miss him. It’s a pity we can’t have dogs in the
college, or I’d ask you to bring him here!
Write me soon, Liz
