DURATION: 60 Hours (2 Hour Lecture, 2 Hours Practical)

UNIT: 4.0

GOAL: This course is designed to make the students understand the principles of generation, transmission and
distribution of electricity on the farm, as well as installation of electrical appliances in farm houses.

GENERAL OBJECTIVES:
On completion of this course, the students should be able to:

1.0 Understand the drawing of electric circuit.


2.0 Understand the principles of electricity generation.
3.0 Understand the principles of electricity transmission.
4.0 Understand the principles of electricity distribution.
5.0 Understand the operations of electric motors and generators.
6.0 Know installation of electricity and its appliances on the farm.
