SCOPE

This procedure aims to establish, systematic approach towards training of


employee working in each department using Train the trainer approach in
each process

PURPOSE

Purpose of this SOP is to establish proper procedure for training to enhance


skill of employees working in the organization, making each process mistake
proof and reducing instances of rejections and rework to reduce customer
complaints and enhance customer satisfaction

PROCESS INPUTS- Inputs of training need from each HOD & Supervisor

PROCEDURE

There will be two type of trainings in the organization which include the
following

1. Technical training which applies to each process


2. General trainings on Housekeeping, 5S, basic grooming, kaizen etc
3. Safety & environment related training

Technical Trainings

 Each HOD will identify training need relevant to skill enhancement of


employee working in their department and intimate HR department for
date time and duration of training,
 Include no of participants so that adequate space can be organized,
training plan is prepared vide document ref no IEC/TNG/P/01,
 this will be maintained by each department HOD or Plant head himself
 Training is identified by process owner and plant head forwarded to HR &
admin of each unit on doc ref no IEC/TNI/F/01 on Annual basis

 Later plant HR / respective manager of that unit prepare training plan/


calendar and announce date of training to HOD

General Training

 General training need will be identified jointly by HR department as per


document ref no IEC/TNG/GEN/02
 EHS related trainings are planned as per doc ref no IEC/TNG/EHS/03 and
conducted by external outsourced agency
 Training Calendar / Plan is prepared on Annual basis and any change
required can be done after completion of quarter
 This is discussed with HR & plant head of concerned unit for suitability of
date and time including availability of relevant employees
 This is circulated to each HOD with date to confirm participation of
employee from each department and later organize venue and training
method is also defined by finalized by HR of the specific plant

EHS RELATED TRAININGS

 EHS related trainings are conducted by External outsourced agency for


various kind of trainings, for which calendar is prepared in advance and
will discuss with HR for training date and time including availability of
relevant employees as per doc ref no IEC/TNG/P/03

Training records are maintained on common format vide document ref no


IEC/TNG/F-01/00 and traceable with department or process name on
each sheet

TRAINING EVALUATION

 Training evaluation is carried out by training faculty and records for


the same are maintained
 Technical process related training are carried out by plant head based
upon Questionnaire on each process (Technical / General & EHS topic)
and rating is done on same
 Each question is of 2 marks and qualifying criteria is minimum 75%
 In case some employee score less than 75%, he is scheduled for re-
training as per next schedule
 Records of technical training evaluation are retained by plant HR
/department head, which is used for further skill enhancement
 General training evaluation is carried out on feedback from concerned
HOD with verbal interaction is considered sufficient
 Evaluation related to environment & safety topics is also done through
practical demonstration and few topics questionnaire are also available

 HR of respective plant location


 Plant head
 Safety officer responsible for that unit / plant
