7. By using the centerpoint arc, draw the arc which meet with the one point of line and draw the
arc having radius 5mm on the other end point of line and arc which draw by centerpoint arc,
which meet with the offset ellipse.

Lab Report 10

To exercise a 3D drawing of Sprocket wheel

(Practice Drawing-8)

Procedure:

1. Introduction to SolidWorks Interface:

 Brief overview of SolidWorks UI, toolbar, and workspace.

2. Creating a New Part:

 Start SolidWorks, select 'New Part' to begin the design process.

3. Sketching the Sprocket Wheel:

 Use the sketch tools (line, circle, etc.) to create the basic outline of the
sprocket wheel.

4. Dimensioning and Constraints:

 Apply dimensions and geometric constraints to the sketch for accurate
representation.

5. Extruding the Sketch:

 Utilize the extrude command to give the sketch depth and convert it into a 3D
object.

6. Adding Teeth to the Sprocket:

 Create teeth using appropriate sketching tools or features, ensuring alignment
and spacing.

7. Fillet and Chamfer Operations:

 Apply fillet and chamfer commands to smooth edges and add necessary
finishing touches.

8. Hole Creation for Mounting:

 Include holes or other necessary features for mounting the sprocket wheel.

9. Finalizing the Design:

 Review the model, ensure accuracy, check for errors, and make any necessary
adjustments.

10. Saving the Model:

 Save the completed sprocket wheel design in an appropriate file format.
