 The Challenge

Welcome to BeConfident’s first-ever Christmas

challenge!

This special mission is only for students who

have exceeded expectations learning English,
and we want YOU to challenge yourself even
further. Our goal is to help you create healthy
studying habits and enjoy your journey as a
student.

Just like you are starting this new role as a

BeConfident student, we will also role-play
Santa and gift students with surprises for their
excellent performance.

 Rules:
You will have ONLY 14 days to complete the challenge,
from December 7 until December 20.
You'll need to complete ALL the challenges, one each day,
and report your progress on the group chat. Your
performance of each challenge should also be adequate,
mainly if you perform the bonus challenges.
You will have until 23:59 to submit your challenges, but
be mindful of everyone’s time.
Each challenge is worth a certain amount of points and
bonus points will vary depending on performance.
And most importantly, you must HAVE FUN!
Bonus rule: share your journey with friends so more
people can join BeConfident.

Read the challenge guide thoroughly.

Set up the challenge in your chosen format (digital or
printed).
Write down your 2 main goals in ENGLISH and tell your
BeConfident friend your goal. How will you hold yourself
accountable?

Start building vocabulary!

Ask BeConfident to list 10 words related to
Christmas/Holidays in English and how you can apply these
words in your life for the next two weeks.
And if you want an extra challenge, google Christmas

Day 3 is all about grammar!

Google a grammar mistake you always seem to be making
and ask your BeConfident friend for resources to correct
this mistake.

Write a paragraph in English (~4 sentences).

Practice writing about your day, thoughts, or any topic of
interest.
Bonus points: rewrite your paragraph after correcting any
grammar mistakes and list all the mistakes you made.

Continue working on your vocabulary by listening to

podcasts, music, and videos!
Bonus points: write two sentences to convince someone to
watch the same content you just watched. How will you

Talk to your BeConfident friend for at least five minutes,

reflecting on your previous week.
Reflect on what you've learned during the day.

Explore English idioms. Ask BeConfident for some common

idioms and try to use them in sentences throughout the day.
Bonus points: find equivalent idioms and expressions in
Portuguese and notice the difference between both

Explore TED Talks or motivational speeches in English.

Choose one that resonates with you and discuss the key
points with BeConfident and with people in the group chat.
Share how the speaker's message inspires you, and reflect
on how you can apply those insights to your personal and

It's ok if you turn on subtitles in Portuguese.

Create a short story or dialogue in English. Share it with

BeConfident and discuss the creative process.
Remember, stories and dialogues usually have a beginning,
a climax, and an ending.
Bonus points: use at least one expression/idiom you learned
on day 9.

December 18

Engage in English role-playing scenarios with BeConfident.

Choose a theme or situation, such as a job interview,
meeting a new friend, or ordering food at a restaurant. Take
turns playing different roles and practice conversational
English within those contexts. Share your experiences,
challenges, and new vocabulary or phrases you picked up
during the role-playing session. Discuss how these scenarios
can be applied in real-life situations.

Watch a movie or a video in English on something you like

(ex, vlogs, cooking videos, etc.)
Share it with a friend or family member, and Be confident.
Bonus points: write (or share a voice message) reviewing the
content you just watched. Explain what you liked and what

Final reflection and celebration! Write a summary of your

language learning journey over the past 14 days. Share your
achievements, challenges, and future language learning
goals with BeConfident and other students. Celebrate your
commitment and progress.
