SUBJECT : Request for Purchase of Additional Pistol Ammo

DATE : 24 November 2023

1. It is of utmost importance that Jail Officers have standard firearms proficiency.

2. Since the allocated/issued 9mm ammo of 30 each student/trainee is very insufficient for the
completion of all standard courses of fire, the JBRC Class 2023-09 respectfully requests your
good office to allow us to purchase 20 additional 9mm pistol ammo for each trainee/student of
the 300 strong members.

3. Said additional ammo would be used to complete all the standard courses of fire in the Jail
Tactical Operations Module.

4. This request has been made with the knowledge and understanding of JBRC Class
2023-09.

5. Attached herewith are the course requirements for the courses of fire of Jail Tactical
Operations Module.
