• Students should be able to learn how to insert table with different
designs and shapes.

pictures that are supported by Microsoft Word.

• Inserting tab allow users to insert many important features, and


here are some basic features that every Microsoft Word users
should learn how to insert :
• Tables
• Illustrations
• Header, Footer, or Page number

• A table is made up of rows and columns, and the intersection of a row and column is

Inserting tables, and table styles
Inserting tables

• Word, Excel, and Access allow you to create tables when you want to include
data that looks like this:

To insert table into Microsoft word :


1. From Insert tab click to Insert Table
2. Then specify the number of columns and rows
3. Click OK

Then Microsoft Word insert a basic table like this


Table design

For designing table in Microsoft word follow the following :


1. The Design tab will automatically appear.
2. Word has pre-designed templates for personalizing your table.

You can also change design by :


• Click to the icon that appears into top left of the table
• That helps you to change the font face, size, color, table borders,
and etc..

To adjust the width of column manually:


• position your pointer just below the title and at the end of one
of the columns until you see the two parallel lines appear

• Then, holding down the left button on your mouse to drag the
column width and make it larger or smaller

In the Table Styles section there are Plain choices.


Either select one of those or click the down arrow and you’ll see a
drop down menu with more choices

After the selection of pro designed table, Microsoft Word will


automatically apply the design on the selected table.

Microsoft Word has several different functions available for you to


add pictures and other graphics to your document.

The following are the supported types of illustrations supported by


Microsoft Word.

1. Click on Pictures
2. You’ll be prompted to choose a picture from your Device.
3. Double-click the picture of your choice and Word will automatically
insert it into your document or Click Insert.

1. Click on Online Pictures
2. Microsoft will prompted a Bing search engine, write the name of
picture into search bar.

3.Shapes
Adding shapes, arrows, and other graphics are by the following:
1. Click on Shapes
2. You’ll be presented with a huge selection of graphics to choose from

SmartArt allows a swift and efficient way to create professional looking


graphics.

To add a smart Art follow the following :
1. Click into SmartArt
2. Choose the type of graphic to be inserted
3. Click OK

4. Word will insert a blank graphic with predefined coloration for you
to fill in.

Inserting tab allows user to insert :


Header: Helps you to repeat content at the top of every page.
That’s useful to show information such as title, author, or page number

Footer: Helps you to repeat content at the bottom of every page.


That’s useful to show information such as title, author, or page number
