Vertical Farming Curse or Blessing

As an intern in Mahmouds vertical farming company, I have been fortunate enough to witness
firsthand the benefits and potential of this innovative method of agriculture. Let me tell you a little
bit about Vertical farming.

First of all Vertical Faming involves growing crops in vertically stacked layers, using efficient LED and
climate control systems to simulate ideal growing conditions.

One of the most significant benefits of vertical farming is the ability to produce crops in urban areas,
reducing the need for long-distance transportation and minimizing the carbon footprint of
agriculture. This method of farming also uses 98%less water than traditional agriculture, making it an
attractive option in areas where water resources are limited and traditional farming gets impossible .

During my internship, I have had the opportunity to work with a variety of crops, including lettuce,
herbs, and microgreens. The controlled environment of vertical farming ensures that the plants
receive exactly the right amount of light, water, and nutrients, leading to higher yields and faster
growth rates than traditional farming methods. At the other side all these regulation cost money,
time and Energy.

Another advantage of vertical farming is its potential for year-round production. By controlling the
climate inside the growing facility, crops can be grown regardless of the weather conditions outside.
This not only ensures a consistent supply of fresh produce but also reduces the risk of crop failures
due to extreme weather events.

Another advantage of vertical farming is its potential for private production. One Day the process will
be completely automatic and will become very easy to grow your own chemicals free food so you
don’t have buy groceries anymore. This not only ensures a consistent supply of fresh produce but
also reduces the risk of crop failures due to extreme weather events or lack of time .

Overall, my internship in a Mahmouds vertical farming company has been a valuable experience,
allowing me to see the potential of this innovative method of agriculture firsthand. With the many
environmental and social benefits, I believe that vertical farming has the potential to change the way
we think about food production and create a more sustainable and easier to access Food system for
all.
