ANUSHAKTINAGAR
1. INTRODUCTION
The academic year 2023-24 was immeasurably splendid proving that great things are not done by
impulse, but by a series of small things brought together. Our team work was tremendous
resulting in admirable outcomes.
As we share the yearly updates of our activities, we take the gratification to say that we did our
best to do as we had planned and we are proud of our students and teachers who strive hard to
achieve beyond their potential. We have focused on the holistic growth of the students.
We have always been committed to create an environment in the school which helps the young
minds to blossom and provide a platform for individual thinking and holistic development of the
child’s personality, as academic session witnesses repositioning, restructuring & refocussing.
With the blessings of Shri Ranajit Kumar, the chairman, AEES, Shri. P Goverdan, the Secretary,
AEES and Shri C.G. Karhadkar, the chairman, LMC, I feel extremely glad, proud and privileged
to present the Annual Report 2023-24 of the school, highlighting the curricular and co-curricular
activities and the major events that have taken place in the school from the day after the last
annual day to this day.
The school has 1236 students (654 boys and 581 girls) and 54 staff members on its roll and the
school gives equal importance to the academic and co-curricular activities.
Academic achievements give weight and substance to all other accomplishments. Hence, let me
start with academic accomplishments for the session 2023-24, before taking you through other
activities.
1. In class X, 117 students appeared for the CBSE Board Examination in March 2023 and all
the students passed Hence the pass % was 99.14.
2. 35 students scored over all A1.
3. The EXCELLENCE INDEX was 86.32.
4. The QUALITY INDEX was 7.91.

In Classes III to V, a total 61 students obtained A1 grade in both Term I and Term
II in all subjects.
In classes I and II, 92 students obtained A1 grade in all the subjects.
Monthly Tests:- One of the highlights of this year’s academic assessments is that
AECS No.2 has initiated monthly test where students are exposed to marking
their answers using OMR sheets. This is to train their hands and minds for
competitive exams in future. These tests are held on the last day of each month to
assess and evaluate the academic performance of our students on a monthly basis.
ART
Manushree Kumbharkar (10B) won the 1st Prize in BEE-State level Painting
Competition, held on24-11-2023 and organized by Bureau of Energy Efficiency.
She will be competing at the national level competition which is going to be held on 11th
February, 2024, at New Delhi.
MUSIC
Group Singing Team AECS No. 2 bagged the 2nd Prize in the All India AECS Cultural
Meet, 2023.
Shaurya Avadh (9B) won the 2nd Prize in Hindustani Classical Music and Dhanwin J.N.
(8C) won the 3rd prize in solo singing in the same Cultural meet.
5. EXTERNAL EXAMINATIONS
Our students have brought laurels home. Out of 67 participants, 11 students from our school
showcased their talents (from 5th June to 14th June).
Master Tanamaya Rout from 10C secured the third position in Mathematics and
the second position in Biology. His team clinched the first position in the JSO
JMO Quiz Competition.
Master Aditya Dubey achieved the third position in Biology and also secured the
third position in the Quiz.
Master Shiyansh Pathak bagged the third position in the Quiz.
A.E.C.S.-2, Mumbai, was the center for nearly 400 participants from all over
Mumbai Suburban region.
51 students of A.E.C. S. -2, Mumbai have participated in it.
3 of them have qualified for IOQM second stage.

3. Inter AECS Quiz Competition
The Inter AEES Quiz competition was held on 2nd November, 2023, and
Priyanshu Prasad (8X) and Soham Krishna Pradhan (8Y) of AECS 2 bagged Ist prize.

It was conducted in the school on 3rd AUGUST, 2023 and the following students won prizes:-
3. Madhav Nair 10B III position and the 1st, 2ndand 3rd winners received a cash award of Rs.
1250/-, Rs. 1000/- and Rs. 750/- respectively.
Under this programme, 115 students have participated in Painting, Essay Writing and
Poem writing.
Best entries in each category were uploaded on CBSE website.
An edition of the programme was hosted by AECS 2, Mumbai on October 21, 2023, at
the New Community Centre in Anushakti Nagar, Mumbai.
Shri C G Kharadkar, Chairman, LMC, a distinguished scientist and an exceptional
educator, spoke extensively about "The Future of Nuclear Energy.
8. Aryabhatta Giant Challenge Examination was conducted by CBSE for the students of
classes 8 to 10 and 2 of our students were got selected among the top 100 achievers.

10. Inter AEES Chess Competition was held from 2nd and 3rd November, 2023.
Ananthajith M P (6X) secured 4th position and Rahini NVJ (7Y) secured 9th position in
the competition.
The Inspire Manak Award initiative, a flagship program by the Department of Science and
Technology, Government of India, is dedicated to nurturing innovation among school students.
Five projects from our school have been shortlisted for this prestigious competition. The names
of the talented young innovators are as follows:
43 students from class 4 and 31 students from class 5 have attempted the green Olympiad
Exam held on 2nd November, 2023 and the result is awaited.
13. Royal Society of Chemistry has conducted 2 days orientation programme in Maths and
Science on 1st October, 2023 and 6 students from our school have participated
The school-level Science, Social Science, Mathematics and Teaching Aids exhibition was
conducted on 08-07-2023.

Science Exhibition
In the science exhibition, 227 students from classes 3rd to 10th showcased 171 exhibits.
Each class received first, second, and third prizes, resulting in a total of 8 first, 8 second,
and 8 third prizes awarded to the children.
A total of 37 exhibits were displayed.8 students won the first, 9 students won the second
and 10 students won the third prizes respectively.
Mathematics Exhibition
Our school will be proudly represented by two exceptional exhibits in Categories 1 and 2
at the Regional CBSE Science Exhibition, scheduled to be held in Bal Bharti School,
Kharghar on 15th and 16th December.
In Category 1, Miss Vijaylakshmi Iyer and Miss Hana Hayat from Class 6C will be
showcasing their innovative projects.
For Category 2, we have the talented Master Aryaman Piplani from Class 10B presenting
his exhibit.
7. CCA COMPETITIONS
The CCA activities for the year 2023-24 began with the Investiture Ceremony. The school
Captain, the School Vice-Captain, CCA Captain and CCA Vice Captain, the Sports Captain and
Sports Vice Captain, The House Captains and Vice Captains for all the four Houses for the
secondary and primary classes were invested with various duties and responsibilities in order to
facilitate the conduct of CCA, assembly, sports and other activities. This was done with a view to
instilling a sense of belonging in our students and to hone their leadership qualities.
Co-curricular activities play a vital role in shaping the all-round development of the child. We, at
AECS 2, Mumbai give ample scope for all round development of the personality of the child
through their participation in a wide range of activities that will foster their native genius, rooted
in Indian aesthetic sensibilities.
Some of the highlights of the CCA of this year are the following:-

We have started online streaming of CCA activities of both primary and secondary
sections and their results. The parents could watch the performance of their children
from their homes.
This has not only increased participation but also gave parents a direct look at their
child's performances.
We went a step further by recording and sharing the programs on popular social media
platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and our YouTube channel.
Using Google Forms for different events made participation easy, giving every student a
chance to contribute effortlessly.
Primary Section
In various 8 CCA events for Bal Vatika and 5 events for Bal Vatika 1, a total of 130
children participated. 34 First prizes, 38 2nd prizes, 43 3rd prizes were awarded.
Primary Section
Ten different CCA competitions were conducted for each groups. out of 458 children got
prizes in CCA.
Different CCA Competitions such as Art Competition, Recitation, Greeting Card making,
Group Singing, Quiz, Skit, Fancy Dress etc. were held for the students.
A total of 219 children won various prizes in these competitions.
Secondary Section
A wide range of activities such as art competition, elocution, debate, quiz, solo singing,
group singing, group dance, debate etc. were organized during the year. These activities
brought out the best in the children and contributed to the holistic development of the
students.
25 first, 25 second and 25 third prizes were given in various individual activities;
In group activities 9 first, 9 second and 9 third prizes were given.
8. ACHIEVEMENTS IN SPORTS
Total 4 sports events were held for Bal Vatika 1 and 2. Total participants in these events were
130 and 20 -1st prizes, 20 - 2nd prizes, 20- 3rd prizes were won by the students.
Primary Section
Sports competitions for the academic year 2023-24 were held in the month of October – November-
2023.
All the students from classes from Bal Vadika 3 to class 5 participated in various individual
and group sports events and competitions. The best 3 performers were selected from each
class as winners.
The following competitions were organized for classes Bal Vatika 3 to class 2.

2. Ball throw,
Secondary section
1. National Level
Ananthajith M.P. [6A] achieved 4th position in Under-14 Boys category and N V J Rahini [7B]
achieved 9th position in Under-14 Girls category in All India Inter-AECS Chess Tournament held at
Tarapur from 1st to 4th November 2023.
The Boys and Girls team of AECS-2, Mumbai shown exemplary performance in Under-17 Boys
and Girls category in All India Inter AECS Volleyball Tournament held at Narora.

Vibhuti Chavan (6A) is selected to represent Maharashtra State in the National Kick Boxing
Championship to be held at Delhi from 2nd January to 6th January 2024.
Vibhuti Chavan (6A) is selected to represent Maharashtra State in the 4 th Edition Open National
Championship to be held at Hyderabad from 28th to 31st December 2023.
2. State Level
Aayansh Rav (3A) bagged 1st Prize in Individual Kata event and 3rd Prize in kumite event in Under 10
boy’s category in Maharashtra State Karate Championship.
1. Vibhuti Chavan (6A) achieved Gold medal in 9-11 NO-GI event as well as in GI event in 34 kg
weight category in 17th GAM Maharashtra Grappling Championship, 2023.
3.District Level
3. Harsha Bharj [9A] -have participated in Quarter-finals in the DSO District level Table
Tennis tournament held at Goregaon.
4. Taluka Level
2. The Under 14 Boys team and the Under 17 Boys team participated in Quarter-finals in the DSO
Taluka level Table Tennis tournament held at Mulund.
2. Ananthajith M.P [6A] achieved 6th position and Dhairya Soni 7C achieved 15th position out of 385
students in DSO Taluka level Chess tournament held at Vikhroli.
Badminton
The Under 14 Boys team participated in Semi-finals. Under 14 Girls team, Under 17 Girls team
and the Under 17 Boys team participated in Quarter-finals in the DSO Taluka level Badminton
tournament held at Kalyan.
Skating
Sonal Vaishnav (Bal Vatika 2B) won the 1st prize in skating competition, held on 2 nd December, 2023
and organized by Vibgyor group of schools.
AECS-2, Mumbai had made arrangements with the support of Medical division, BARC to engage
the services of Medical officers to conduct the medical examination of every student of classes IX
and X on 28.10.2023.
A practical session on the theme Martial Arts-Self Confidence, Self Control, Self Defense was
organized for girls and boys of AECS-2, Mumbai on 01.05.2023.
9. NCC

The team of Raashi Gautam 9C, Zoya Sayed 9B, Madhura Sonawane 9B, Thanvi Bhoppa 9B
and Tithi More 9C attended the Annual Training Camp from 22 nd to 31st May 2023 at Tarapur.
In the camp, cadets achieved many prizes in extracurricular activities also.
Tithi More attended 2 Inter Group Shooting Competition camps at Pune, NCC Headquarters
and Kollapur NCC Head quarters. She is also selected for EBSB aerospace camp which will be
held at Bangaluru in January, 2024.
The team of Yuvika Alawekar 9A, Prapti Deokar 9C and Chaitalee Borate 9A attended the
Combined Annual Training Camp from 5th to 14th June 2023 at Tarapur.
The team of Prathamesh Sarak 10A, Vedant Rajeshirke 9C, Arya Nagpurkar 9C attended the
Combined Annual Training Camp from 14th to 23rd May 2023 at Vashi.
The team of Hiral Bansode 9B, Aswin Amarnath 9A, Aryan Pratape 9C, Aditya Rathod 9A,
Laksh Wadhera 9B and Yashvardhan Jha 9B attended the Combined Annual Training Camp
from 25th to 3rd June 2023 at Vashi.
10. GUEST LECTURES FROM AECS 2
On 30th September and 1st October, 2023, ATI has organised a training session in New
Convention Center, and
i) Shri Rajveer Tanwar, the Vice Principal,
ii) Smt. Asha Sharma,
iii) Smt. Sumitra M. and
iv) Smt. Ratna Rathod from AECS 2 were nominated as resource persons to deliver lectures in
Computer Science, English and Mathematics subjects.
Shri Viswas Mane, PTR SS, has completed 25 years of his teaching career in the service
of AEES. Congratulations to him.
He has secured First Prize in Poster and Slogan Writing and Third Prize in Hindi Essay
Writing competitions organized during the Hindi Pakwada.
Shri Sunil Mali, TGT Art, won the First Prize in Painting Competition organised in
XXXVII All India DAE Sports & Cultural meet held from 27 th January to 3rd February,

2023.
As directed by Academic Unit, AEES Dr. R Stylemon Pillai participated in the training
on “Media Literacy" organised by Central Institute of Educational Technology, NCERT
in collaboration with Indian Institute of Mass Communication from 20-24 February
2023.
13. OBSERVANCES
National Sports Day commemorating the birth anniversary of Hockey legend Major Dhyan
Chand was celebrated in a grand scale and football game for boys and Throw-ball game for
girls were organised in PTAA Sports Complex and school ground respectively.
International Day of Yoga
AECS No. 2, Mumbai has always endeavoured to cater to the development of the all-round
personality of its students – imparting knowledge, developing skills and instilling values. AECS-
2, Mumbai was a part of the global community in celebrating the transformative power of Yoga
with the students and teacher on this auspicious occasion of 9 th International Day of Yoga on
21.06.2023.
AECS-2, Mumbai launched “Spread a Smile, Sharing is Caring” campaign in International Day
of Happiness to motivate students to voluntarily donate school supplies/ uniform/ educational
supplies to socially & economically disadvantaged peers. The collected items were distributed
among needy children of AECS-2 and nearby schools to avoid drop out in Education.
Plogging Run
On 26.02.2023, AECS No.2 Co-ordinated the participation of students in the Plogging Run
[Jogging + Litter collection] organized by DCSEM under the leadership of Dr. K.N.Vyas,
Chairman, Atomic Energy Commission & Secretary (DAE), Shri. Ajit Kumar Mohanty,
Director, BARC along with Senior Officers of DAE.

A street play – Nukkad Natak on Swachhata and Health by the students of AECS-2, Mumbai
was organized on 27.02.2023 at Hastinapur market.
A guidance and counselling session on the Care and Guidance in Parenting was conducted by
Prof. Rajani Konantambigi, School of Human Ecology, TISS on 12.09.2023
Vigilance Awareness Week 2023 was observed from 30th October, 2023 to 5th November,
2023. Special morning assembly with pledge against corruption, speech on the role played by
Sardar vallabh Bhai Patel: and Elocution, Poster making and Video making competitions were
organized.

Street Play
On the occasion of 14 students presented a street play for the school audience on the topic
“Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel and Integration of Princely states”
The Integrity Pledge was taken by the staff of the school as part of Vigilance Awareness Week.

Under the auspices of The National Foundation for Communal Harmony, the Communal
Harmony day was observed on 19th November, 2023, to spread the message of peaceful co-
existence of all communities.
Teachers’ Day was celebrated on the 5th September, 2023. The students of Class X stepped
into the shoes of the teachers and experienced the pleasures and pains of teaching. A special
assembly was also conducted by the students.
The Constitution Day was observed by the school on November 26, 2023. Students were
enlightened on the importance of the constitution the preamble of the constitution was read
aloud by the staff and teachers in the morning assembly.
Hindi Pakhwada: Hindi Pakwada was observed in the school from 14 th September to 29th
September, 2023
From Bal Vatika 1 and 2, 130 participated in Hindi recitation and Sway parichay competitions;
and 5-1st prizes, 4- 2nd prizes- 2 and 6- 3rd prizes were warded.
The following activities and competitions were organized or students of primary and secondary
sections; and for parents and the school staff:-
5. Hindi Dialogue
A total of 458 students have participated in them and 105 prizes were awarded.
Smt Jayashree Nambiar, PRT SS, won consolation prize and a cash award of Rs.500/- in Essay
writing competition organized by Navi Mumbai Rajbhasha Karyanvayan Samithi.

15. CONCLUSION
Ladies and gentlemen,
In the voyage of the discovery of excellence in the field of education, our endeavour of focusing
on integral, sustainable, holistic growth and development of lifelong skills and values for this 21 st
century alive in our thought, word and action continues.
We believe that every year brings changes. With the support, blessings and the wise counsel of
all stakeholders of the institution, including the vibrant parent community and the student
fraternity that is brimming with ideas, we are sure that the school will scale greater heights in the
forthcoming days.
We are quite hopeful that the present batch of students will emulate and excel their seniors in
every respect and leave their own unique imprint on the legacy of the school. I would like to
conclude the report with the words of Swami Vivekananda, “Education is the manifestation of
the perfection already present in man.” We, here in Atomic Energy Central School No.2,
Mumbai try to help our students to reach that perfection.
