ASSIGNMENT FOR KITS

 About Me: Hello sir, I am Attili Vinayak Ram. I did my B. Tech in the branch of Chemical
Engineering from NIT Warangal in the year 2014. I did my M. Tech in the branch of Chemical
Engineering from IIT Madras in the year 2018. I have worked as a Senior project Engineer
and Project lead in ICSR, (Office of Industrial Consultancy and Sponsored Research), IIT
Madras on Establishment of computational soft materials laboratory.
 There My Work is to work, guide and manage a team of 4 research students and 5 project
interns. It mainly involves on checking the crystallinity of long chain polymers and how they
can be used in the purification of water.
 As far as Leadership is concerned, when one student was struck in getting the desired
crystallization, I have told him to use higher temperature, check for the energy vs time
graphs and also suggested him the appropriate literature.
 As I have worked under extremely high-pressure situations like covid, in our every week
meetings I used to suggest them on how one can tackle with the current situation, safety
measures, the quacks present during that day about covid etc.
 Free Lance Tutorship: I used to be a teaching assistant to my professors in IIT Madras and I
used to well especially with those students who had difficulties in that particular subjects
like MATLAB, ASPEN, Chemical Reaction Engineering etc. This actually sparked the idea of
free lance tutorship in me. So, during my free time I thought of tutoring students in my circle
who used to have quite a lot of difficulty in dealing with subjects at the level of JEE, EAMCET
and SSC level. Dealt with chapters like Algebra, Probability and Matrices. Also, with me
having a good track record in GATE examination some of my contacts from Chemical
Engineering used to suggest some students from their contacts and also, I used to teach
them Chemical Reaction Engineering and Engineering Mathematics. I have trained around
30 students. It all started with some of the people from my friends and distant family
members asking me whether I could make things easier for their children or their relative’s.
So, I have decided to teach them in my free time. Usually, I used to teach them in weekends.
If it is not possible, a discussion used to be held a week prior to that and rescheduled to
weekdays.
