    The 16th ASEAN Ministers Responsible for Information meeting was held in Danang, Vietnam. The meeting provided a forum for ASEAN member states and dialogue countries to exchange ideas and identify future priorities and directions for cooperation in information. The goal is to jointly achieve UN Millennium Development Goals and priorities of the ASEAN community. In her opening remarks, Vietnam's Vice President hoped the ministers and delegates would have productive discussions to reach agreements on specific action plans to promote the role of the information sector in ASEAN.

    The Asian Ministers Responsible for information is an important forum for


    member states and dialougue countries to exchange and identify future priorities
    and directions for cooperation.
    Danang- The Asen Ministers Responsible for information is an important forum
    for member states and dialogue countries to exchange and identify future
    priorities and directions for cooperation while jointly achieving the United
    Nations Millennium Development Goals and the Priorities of The ASEAN
    community.
    That was the message from Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan in her keynote
    speech at the opening ceremony of the biennial 16th ASEAN Ministers
    Responsible for information, hoping that the ministers and delegates will have
    productive working days in Danang and share valueable recommendations for
    ASEAN leaders as well as reaching agreement on specific action plans for
    promoting the role of information sector.
