1. What is the Water Cycle?

The water cycle is a continuous process where water moves from the Earths surface to the

atmosphere and back. This cycle is essential for maintaining life on our planet.

2. Stages of the Water Cycle

a. Evaporation: Water from oceans, lakes, and rivers turns into water vapor and rises into the air.

b. Condensation: Water vapor cools and turns back into liquid, forming clouds.

c. Precipitation: Water falls from the sky as rain, snow, hail, or sleet.

d. Collection: Water collects in oceans, rivers, lakes, and even underground.

3. Importance of the Water Cycle

The water cycle is important because it provides fresh water for drinking, agriculture, and other

essential activities. It also helps regulate the Earths temperature.
