Golden Safety Rules

❖ 1.Permit to Work
Before starting any work first check and ensure that work permit is issued for the work, any activity without a
work without permit is serious safety violation.

❖ 2. Work at height
Work at height is the most common activity in construction and maintenance work. All safety measures which
are applicable during work at height must be followed as per DEQ work at height procedure.

❖ 3. Confined space entry


Confined space entry is very risky activity due to its nature, follow all safety measures while working in confined
space.

❖ 4. LOTO (Lock Our – Tag Out)


During maintenance/repairing of any live equipment such as electrical equipment LOTO system must be
followed to stop accident due to accidental operation.

❖ 5. Lifting Operation
Follow all safety measures during lifting, rigging, loading/unloading and erection of equipment by crane or other
equipment.

❖ 6. Never Bypass safety devices.


In many machinery and equipment critical safety devices installed to warn the operator in emergency case or
due to increasing limit of machines such as SLI (safe load indicator) warn crane operator during lifting load
above safe working load of crane.

❖ 7. Safe Driving
Follow all traffic and driving safety rules during driving such as drive in speed limit, use seat belt, don’t use
phone while driving, no alcohol etc.

❖ 8. USE PPEs
During work always wear mandatory and job specific personal protective equipment.

❖ 9. Follow safety procedures.


Follow standard operating procedures for every task, follow all safety control measures.

❖ 10. Report accident/incidents


Don’t hide any accident and near-miss, accidents must be reported it will help to find root cause of accidents,
by finding root cause reassurance of accident can be prevented.
