SCENE 1: THE ANTICIPATION OF NEW PARENTS:
(HARISH AND YASHODA DISCOVER THAT THEY ARE GOING TO BE PARENTS SOON. BUT HARISH
HAS A THOUGHT RUNNING IN HIS HEAD ABOUT THE GENDER OF THE BABY.)
Harish: Yashoda, can you believe we're going to be parents soon? The
expectation is overwhelming.
Yashoda: I know, Harish. It's exciting. I can't wait to hold our baby.
Harish: (hesitant) You know, Yashoda, I've always envisioned having a son. It's a family
tradition, you see, to carry on the legacy.
Yashoda: Harish, it doesn’t matter what ever the gender of the baby is, we will provide
him/her with our love, opportunities and the good values.
Harish: But….
(AFTER FEW DAYS, HARISH AGAIN STARTING THE TOPIC OF GENDER OF THE BABY. AND AN
ARGUMENT ARISES BETWEEN THEM.)
Harish: Yashoda, I need to know the gender. I can't shake this feeling.
Harish: I've heard about a doctor who can tell us. I'm willing to do whatever it takes.
Yashoda: It’s against the law Harish. Also, I am not interested in doing it. Doctor should
only do the test after getting the consent from both, father and mother.
Harish: Doctor, I need you to perform amniocentesis to find the gender of the growing
fetus.
Doctor: Harish, I understand your Anticipation, But it’s against the law. It may land
both of us into big troubles.
Harish: I will take care of the consequences doctor, and we will keep it as secret and I
will make sure no one get to know about this.
Doctor: I need you to sign this consent form before we start with the procedure.
Harish: Sure.
(PRADEEP WAS IN THE OPERATION THEATRE WHICH IS NEAR TO THE DOCTOR’S ROOM, HE HEARS
THE CONVERSATION BETWEEN THEM AND CONFRONT DOCTOR ABOUT THE CONVERSATION)
Pradeep: (to doctor) I've heard unsettling rumors about Harish's intentions. You need to
consider the potential consequences of performing Amniocentesis.
(WHEN HARISH FOUND THAT THE GENDER OF THE FETUS IS FEMALE, HE PRESSURIZE THE DOCTOR
TO PERFORM MTP, WHICH CAN BE DANGEROUS TO MOTHER AND THE FETUS.)
Harish: (frustrated) A girl? This can't be. Doctor, you have to do something. Perform
procedures for MTP (Medical Termination of Pregnancy).
Harish: (insistent) I can't accept this. It's not what I wanted for our family legacy.
Doctor: Harish, I urge you to think about the consequences and the emotional toll this might
take on both of you. Let's explore other avenues before making such a drastic choice.
Harish: (silently) Doctor, I'm willing to compensate you generously for your services.
Make sure this doesn't leave any trace.
Doctor: (hesitant) Harish, I understand your distress, but ethical considerations are crucial. I
cannot compromise my professional integrity.
Harish: (slides an envelope secretly) Perhaps this will help you reconsider.
Doctor: (pauses, then reluctantly takes the envelope) Harish, I want to remind you of
the seriousness of what you're asking. Let me explain to you about the procedure and its
potential consequences, but I will give you some time to reconsider your decision.
Pradeep getting to know about this, prevent the doctor from doing it but the doctor is
reluctant to do it due to the pressure from Nicholad and His Financial incentives.
Pradeep: Doctor! I’ve Heard that you are going to perform MTP since it is a female
child. Are you?
Pradeep: Did you ask consent from the mother of the baby?
(WHEN THE BABY IS ABORTED, HARISH COOKED UP A STORY AND FRAMES YASHODA AND
SCOLDS HER FOR THE MISTAKE. YASHODA COULDN’T HANDLE IT AND SHE WENT INTO
DEPRESSION.)
Harish: It’s all your fault. Can’t you take care of a growing Baby properly?!
Yashoda went to hospital to buy some antidepressant tablets where she meets Pradeep again.
And she learns the whole story from him.
Pradeep: Mam, there's something you need to know about those procedures
Harish pressured the doctor into.
Yashoda: So, it was not my fault. Harish intentionally killed my baby and made me
believe that it was all my fault.
Pradeep: It seems Harish was deeply fixated on having a son to carry on the family
legacy. He let this desire cloud his judgment.
Yashoda: (furious) This is not what I envisioned for our journey into
parenthood. I should confront Harish about this.
Pradeep: Yes, but tread carefully. He might be feeling swamped and pressured by
societal expectations.
Yashoda: (decisive) I can't believe he would go to such heights. I need some time to think. I
can't be around him right now. I need a break from him for the betterment of my future.
Pradeep: I understand, Mam. Take your own time. I am sure You will find a way to
address this and move forward in your life.
Pradeep: Remember that hasty decisions that you make will always lead you to your
destruction. This is what Harish did. Please don't make the same mistake as Your Husband
did.
(AFTER YASHODA LEAVES HIM, HE BECOME TOO ARROGANT AND HIS BEHAVIOR WITH EVERYONE
AROUND HIM CHANGED DRASTICALLY, DUE TO WHICH HE FACES SOME PROBLEM IN HIS WORK
PLACE.)
Team leader: yes, sir why did you called me, any problem?
HR: Nowadays your performance was going really bad. And your co-workers feel you
are behaving too arrogant with them, and if this continues, I am sorry you have to face
the consequences.
When he shares the incident with His friend and colleague Madhav, Madhav shares his
opinion and advises him.
Madhav: Harish, I too have noticed a change in your attitude. Is there anything that you
want to share with me?
Madhav: This obsession isn't healthy. Equality in parenting is crucial. Sons and daughters
are both capable of carrying on legacies. Let me share stories of accomplished women and
the importance of equality.
(MADHAV SHARES THE INTERVIEW OF FARHANA WHO WON GOLD MEDAL IN ATHLETES IN
OLYMPICS)
Interviewer: Good evening mam! It’s been a great pleasure to me and our Channel to
interview your mam
Each and every Indian would know you currently because of your achievement in
Olympics for our nation. It's great moment Mam Congrats!!!
So, tell me mam how did you create the sunshine (gold medal)?
Farhana: Actually the barriers in my life wounded me so hard from my own home it
started cause of gender inequality later when I convinced my parents my barrier
became as my religion realizing that I am shattered down, at those time my friend
gave me few words "Gender doesn't matter religion doesn't matter and look's doesn't
matter" the thing that really matters is "Your passion, your goals, and your
determination" so literally those words created a new hope in me and those scares in
my heart created me as a new person and because of which I am here!
Interviewer: So, what would you like to tell your fans and viewers
Farhana: A thing I would like to tell is let's create the upcoming generation with a pure
heart!
Interviewer: Pure heart in means of?
Interviewer: That’s beautiful mam, Got a beautiful message from you! So, Viewers of
our channel, this message teaches us to realize the value of every human irrespective of
his gender and have a good heart!
(AFTER WATCHING THE INTERVIEW, HE REALIZES HIS MISTAKE AND FEEL SO GUILTY.)
Harish: I never realized how my actions were affecting us. I was thinking about
society but I didn't consider the opinions of my Wife.
Harish: "I feel to seek forgiveness from Yashoda; I cannot imagine my life without
her. Do you think she will forgive me?"
Madhav: The mistake you made is colossal, so whatever the consequences, you should face
it.
(HE GOES TO MEET YASHODA AND ASK APOLOGIES TO HER. AT FIRST, SHE IS RELUCTANT BUT
LATER SHE REALIZES HE HAD TRULY CHANGED AND DECIDED TO GIVE HIM A SECOND CHANCE.)
Harish: (reflective) Maybe I've let tradition cloud my judgment. I love you, Yashoda,
more than any family legacy.
Harish: Yashoda, I'm so sorry for what I've put you through. Let's adopt and give a child
the love they deserve, no matter what their gender is.
(TARA IS SCARED AND DIDN’T CAME OUT OF THE THOUGHTS OF THE ACCIDENT THAT KILLED HER
PARENTS. AT FIRST, SHE IS HESITANT BUT LATER SHE GETS ADOPTED TO HARISH AND YASHODA
AND REALIZES THEY ARE TRULY CARING AND FRIENDLY.)
Yashoda: It's going to take time for her to adopt to live with us Harish, but we can
work through this together.
Harish: Our adopted daughter deserves every opportunity. Let's embrace this new
beginning, unite as a family, and support her in all her dreams.
Harish: Our daughter may have different interests and aspirations. Let's celebrate her
uniqueness and encourage her to explore her passions
Harish: If that is what you want to pursue, you are free to. We will support you in every
phase and decision of your life.
Harish: I understood that our family's legacy isn't about gender or tradition. It's about
love, acceptance, and building a future where our daughter can thrive.
CONCLUSION:
AND SO, THE JOURNEY OF HARISH, YASHODA, AND TARA BEGAN—
A FAMILY FOUNDED ON LOVE, ACCEPTANCE, AND THE
REALIZATION THAT EVERYONE, REGARDLESS OF
GENDER, DESERVES EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES. THE MISTAKES OF
THE PAST BECAME
VALUABLE LESSONS, FOSTERING A NEWFOUND APPRECIATION FOR
