5.) Measuring the voltage supply:

5.1 Connect breakout Box with wiring harness and sensor


connect the multimeter with the breakout box
(P1 and P4), switch-on the ignition and then the
measured voltage should be 5 volt 0,25 volt

6.) Measure the output voltage of the rack position feedback sensor in 18mm
position:

Set Pin

6.1 Put the set pin from the pos.1 to the pos.2 6.2 Connect the breakout box with the engine
harness and the sensor and switch the ign. on.
It should be measured(P2 and P4) 4,15Volt
between and 5,12Volt. Switch ign. off.

6.) Measure the output voltage of the rack position feedback sensor in 0mm
position:

6.3 Put the set pin back in the basic position 6.4 Disconnect the plug from the control
and switch the ign. on for ~10 sec. solenoid.

6.) Measure the output voltage of the rack position feedback sensor:

Note:
After these measurements / tests, a
rack / eccentric shaft calibration is
necessary.

6.5 Switch the ign. on and it should be


measured between 0,14 Volt and 0,69Volt.

4.) Measurement from sensor ground to battery ground

4.1 disconnect the plug from the 4.2 Connect the multimeter with Pin1 and
harness to sensor ground. Now you should measure
maximum 0,8 Ohm

5.) Measuring the voltage supply:

5.1 Connect the multimeter with the harness on


Pin1 and on Pin3. Switch on the ignition and now
you should measure 5V +/- 0,2 Volt.

6.3 switch ignition on and the shown value (ITDPOS) should be exact 8,5°

If the value is not displayed correct, please set the injection timing linkage to the
eccentric shaft ( ITD Basic Adjustment)

6.) Measurements via EDT :

Turn the eccentric shaft with a 20mm wrench clockwise till the mechanical stop.
Note: The injection timing valve is only voltage supplied / pulsed for 30 sec.(ITV
is open) The Injection Timing Valve closes 30 seconds after ignition on.

6.) Measurements via EDT :

If the Eccentric shaft is correct adjusted with the ITD linkage it should be
displayed app. -2,5° to -4°
If the value is not displayed correct, please set the injection timing linkage to the
eccentric shaft ( ITD Basic Adjustment)
Note:
After these measurements / tests, a rack / eccentric shaft calibration is
necessary.

engine harness, furthermore connect the multimeter and the engine harness, furthermore connect
with the breakout box (P2 and P4), switch-on the the multimeter with the breakout box (P4 and
ignition and measure the output voltage, it should be P6), switch-on the ignition and measure the
approximately 0,5V output voltage, it should be approximately 0,5V
