NGT slaps ₹10 crore penalty on Kerala government for failure to protect

The Principal Bench of the National Green Tribunal in New Delhi has slapped
a penalty of ₹10 crore on the Kerala government for its failure to check the
indiscriminate pollution of the Vembanad and Ashtamudi lakes, listed as
Ramsar sites.
नई विल्ली में ने शनल ग्रीन वटि ब्यूनल की प्रधान पीठ ने रामसर साइट ों के रूप में सूचीबद्ध
िे म्बनाड और अष्टमुडी झील ों के अोंधाधुों ध प्रिू षण की जाोंच करने में विफल रहने के वलए
केरल सरकार पर 10 कर ड़ रुपये का जुमााना लगाया है ।

The penalty imposed on the basis of the ‘polluter pays principle’ had to be

Government launches DigiClaim platform for farmer insurance claims
