I. Enumerate at least three (3) significant learning discussed by clock 6

A professional code of ethics outlines teachers’ main responsibilities to their students

and defines their role in students’ lives. Above all, teachers must demonstrate integrity,
impartiality, and ethical behavior in the classroom and in their conduct with parents and
coworkers. In this topic I have learned three significant lessons. First is the Article IV the
Teacher and the Profession. It specifies the requirements for educators to uphold integrity,
dedicate themselves to the welfare of their students, and respect their colleagues. The
relevance of upholding professionalism and moral conduct in the teaching profession is
emphasized in this article. Second Article XI the Teacher as a Person. It emphasizes the
importance of demonstrating empathy, fairness, and compassion as educators in interacting
with students and the wider community. This article underscores that teachers should not only
be knowledgeable professionals but also caring and ethical individuals who contribute positively
to the educational environment. Lastly, Article X The Teacher and Business. It emphasizes that
the principles of financial responsibility and ethical conduct are crucial for teachers. While
teachers are encouraged to engage in legitimate income generation, it is essential that such
activities do not interfere with their professional duties.

II. Why are these significant to me.

As a future teacher, these three lessons from the professional code of ethics hold
significant importance to me for several reasons:

Article IV underscores the necessity of upholding integrity and demonstrating ethical

behavior in the teaching profession. As a future educator, this lesson will remind me of the
critical role of ethics which plays in maintaining trust and credibility with students, parents, and
colleagues. It sets the foundation for building positive relationships and ensuring my actions
align with the best interests of my students in the future and the education community.

Article XI highlights the significance of empathy, fairness, and compassion when

interacting with students and the broader community. These qualities are essential for creating a
supportive and inclusive learning environment. Understanding and practicing these principles
will help me to connect with my students in the future on a deeper level, foster a sense of
belonging, and enhance the overall quality of education I will provide.

Article X addresses the importance of maintaining financial responsibility and ethical

conduct. It will remind me that my personal financial choices and business activities can impact
my professional reputation and, by extension, my ability to effectively serve my future students.
Being financially responsible ensures that I can focus on my teaching duties without distractions
or conflicts of interest.
Ultimately, these lessons help in shaping me into a well-rounded and effective educator in
the future. They guide me in understanding not only the academic aspects of teaching but also
the ethical and interpersonal dimensions, which are crucial for creating a positive and impactful
learning experience for my students. By adhering to these principles, I can build trust, contribute
positively to the educational environment, and be a role model for my students, instilling in them
the values of integrity, empathy, and responsibility.

III. Additional Insights

In addition to these core lessons, it's crucial to recognize that a teacher's impact goes
beyond the classroom. Teachers serve as role models for their students, and their actions and
values can leave a lasting impression. By embodying integrity, empathy, and fairness,
educators not only enhance the learning environment but also instill these vital qualities in the
next generation. Moreover, the emphasis on financial responsibility in Article X highlights the
importance of maintaining trust and professionalism in all aspects of a teacher's life. These
insights collectively reinforce that teaching is not just a profession but a noble calling, where
ethical behavior, empathy, and dedication to students' well-being create a positive and lasting
influence on society.
