We are looking for a Marine Structural Design Engineer for Port &

Waterways Division for our Head Office at Gurgaon, India


Criteria –
 M.Tech (Marine Structures) / Master’s in Structural Engineering
 10-20 years’ Experience in Carrying out the Structural analysis and
design of Ports and harbor structures like Oil Jetties, bulk/container
berths, breakwaters, block work quay walls, Combi walls, bulkheads,
Ro Ro berths. Experienced in carrying out feasibility, DPR level
design and worked on at least one Detail Design project.

Responsibilities –

 Computing independently forces arising due to Berthing, Mooring, Wave, Current,


Differential water pressure, cranes, earthquake and wind.
 Responsible for independently carrying out the 3D Structural analysis for berthing
and mooring dolphins, unloading platforms, approach trestles, etc in StaadPro.
 Carrying out dynamic analysis for Earthquake, and interpretation of time period,
mode shapes for the structure and thereby arriving at the forces due to probable
earthquake.
 Handling structural analysis with non linear/linear behavior of soil, soil spring
computations. Knowledge of p-y and t-z curves will be considered as an asset.
 Carry out finite element analysis for deck elements subjected to multiple
concentrated loads/ exposure to Pigueads curves.
 Thorough understanding of relevant codal requirements pertaining to maritime
industry. Exposure to OCIMF guidelines will be considered as an asset
 Primary responsibility to guide the cad technicians to prepare the detailed
reinforcement drawings for jetties, berths and dolphins. Preparation of drawings
for maritime and associated structures involving detailing such as fender fixing
location, bollard fixing details, vendor drawing review, rail fixing and drawings
review, precast elements numeration, conveyor G.A, unloading arms on unloading
platforms of oil jetties, etc. Production of sketches for development of CAD
drawings.
 Carry out static mooring calculations as per IS and BS standards and able to
compute the mooring forces in bollards/mooring hooks etc.
 Capable of drafting the design basis report and overall design report for
submission to client.
 Co-ordination with other discipline leads and work in a team.
 Participate and partake in Conceptual and Detailed Planning of Port Terminals for
Bulk ,Container, Liquid and LNG Terminals, assist the Principal Maritime Engineer.
 Preparation of specifications, Bills of Quantities and assistance with contract
documents for construction projects
 Lead Engineer for Port related Water Front Structures such as Jetties, Wharfs,
Block Walls, Shipyards, slipways etc

Special Attributes - Softwares: Should be adept at Staad Pro & SAP 2000.
Knowledge of SACS will be added advantage. Well versed with AUTOCAD,
MS office
