BEAUTY AND THE BEAST

Once upon a Time In a faraway land, lived a merchant and his beautiful daughter named
Belle. One day, the merchant got lost in the woods and reached a castle. He went inside and
seeing nobody, so he decided to spend the night there.

The next morning, when the merchant was leaving he saw beautiful roses in the garden.
He thought of Belle and plucked one. “Belle must be happy if i give her this beautiful rose.”

Suddenly, a horrible beast came behind him and screamed at him for stealing from his
garden. "How dare you take something that is mine.” Said the beast.

The merchant was scared and explained he plucked the rose for his daughter Belle.
“I'm sorry sir, I just thought of my daughter and wanted to give these flowers to her.” Said the
Merchant.

The beast said he would let him go if he promised to send Belle to stay with him.
"I will let you go if you let your daughter stay with me.” The merchant fearfully agreed and
went home.

At home, he sorrowfully told Belle the whole story. “If I don't go, my father will be in
danger. I have to go there, for my father's safety.” Belle put her father's worries to rest and went
to the castle.

At first, the Beast didn't want to show himself to Belle because he was worried that Belle
would get scared and run away. but he prepared everything Belle needed and gave her a magic
mirror. As time goes by, their relationship gets better. Belle realized that the beast was kind and
gentle.
 One day in the magic mirror gifted by the beast, Belle saw that her father was ill. Unable
to see her sadness, the beast let her go home. Belle was glad to be home again. Under Belle’s
care, her father quickly recovered.

One day, she thought of the beast and saw it in the magic mirror. She saw that the beast
too was ill. She went to the castle to meet him. Belle saw the beast moaning in pain and dying,
“I’m glad you are here, Belle.” he was very glad to see her.

She held him and sobbed and told him that she loved him and kissed him softly.
“Don’t die sir, please.. I love you..”

At that very instant, the beast changed into a handsome prince. Belle was surprised, the
prince then explained
“your sweet words had broken the spell that was cast on me.”.

They soon got married and lived happily ever after.
