B. PRESENTATION OF TOPIC
Class do you know what even and odd
numbers are??
Now class let us define first what is an Even numbers are divisible by 2
even numbers, everybody please read without remainders. They end in 0, 2,
the meaning of even number 4, 6, or 8.
Even numbers are divisible by 2
without remainders. They end in 0, 2, 4,
6, or 8.
Even numbers can be divided by 2. It
can be divided into two equal groups.
and always end in 0, 2, 4, 6, or 8.
Now, do you still remember the 6 fishes “Yes teacher.”
that we group a while ago?

So, what happen again in the fishes? The fishes were group by twos.

even number.
Am I Understood? “Yes teacher.”
Another example.
Let’s group this cupcakes. How many “4 teacher”

Odd numbers are not evenly divisible
by 2 and end in 1, 3, 5, 7, or 9.
Odd number is a number that cannot be
evenly divided into two. And there is a
remainder.
Example these fishes we group a while
ago.

So, what happen again in the fishes? “The fishes can’t be group by twos
That is the example of an odd number.
Another example.

Let’s group this basketball. How many “5 teacher.”

basketball are there in the circle?
So lets divide 5 by 2. Or lets group the
five basketball by 2.

Or we can solve it like this, 5÷2=2

remainder 1.
Class always remember that no matter
how big the numbers is just look at the
last digit and you will know if it’s an odd
number or even number.
Example:

Even numbers is always end in 0, 2, 4,
