ACTION PLAN FOR IMPROVEMENT

Based on the CO attainment obtained in the previous academic year, the following actions are
made during the Course Committee Meeting-1.

1. Set Target CO Attainment level for this academic year (2022-2023) is 3

2. Content beyond syllabus may be covered on the topics given below:
a. Advancements in Diesel Generator Control Panels
b. Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant – Operations, Issues and Enhanced Safety level.
c. Floating wind turbine technology in renewable energy sources
3.Assignment may be given on the following topics

Assignment Mapping of POs

Energy Conservation in Sugar, Textiles, and Cement
Industry
PO1, PO3, PO6 & PO7
Thermal Energy Storage in solar thermal power
plants
PO1, PO2, PO6 & PO7
Role of energy in economic development and social
transformation
PO1, PO2, PO6, PO7 & PO11

4. Teaching methodology
 PPTs may be used extensively to cover the portions
 Blackboard may also be used for explaining the content and covering the portions
 Group based activity and peer reviewing may be used to do collaborative learning among the
students while understand the concept of various layout of power plants

5. Industrial visit & trainings

 Efforts may be taken for the students to visit an industry of relevance to get a real-time
experience on power plants around Tamilnadu
 Students are requested to attend internship training sessions in various power plants around
Tamilnadu.

6. Continuous assessment Tests: 3 Internal Assessment Tests (IATs) are planned for 100 marks.
Subject handling faculty should identify the slow learners and bright students in the class and do
the necessary actions.
 IAT 1: Unit 1 and half of Unit 2 for 100 marks
 IAT 2: Remaining half of Unit 2 and Unit 3 for 100 marks
 IAT 3: Unit 4 and Unit 5 for 100 marks
