“VIU Premium”

In this activity, I tried the premium version of one of my favorite online streaming app , VIU. It has same
features with Netflix. The difference is that, unlike Netflix, Amazon Prime and other streaming apps, VIU
offers a free version of their app that enables you to stream your favorite show, without requiring for
you to register/create an account.

VIU offers a trial price for their premium version which cost only ₱29 pesos instead of ₱149/ month on
your first month. As a user, without hesitation, I actually paid for it and observed the added premium
features for a week whether it’s worth the price or not.
The thing is, the premium version really does it thing. By subscribing , you are granted with unlimited
downloads, add-free and privilege to watch shows on a big screen via TV App or TV Casting. For me, the
price is reasonable especially if you’re aiming to watch fresh uploads of your favorite episodes on-the-
go.

Here’s a proof of how I am now able to watch my favorite Filipino Teleserye anytime, anywhere! I must
say that the premium version of VIU is good, but I suggest that it will be better if there’s a “Add Profile”
feature similar with Netflix’s so that you can share your account to some family/partner. I also wish for
them to add more shows so that consumers will have more options and will stay on their app since they
only have Asian dramas.
