TED- ED TASK

TIMELINE:
-Task to be submitted by 10th December.

TASK:
You will watch a video connected to one of the topics we have studied and summarize its
content.

AIM OF THE TASK:


This task will provide you with the opportunity to:

 be exposed to different topics and topical language.


 practice and reinforce your listening and visual comprehension skills.
 identify keys details and concepts.
 practice adapting language to a target audience (your level)

TASK REQUIREMENTS:

 Watch a ‘TED ED’ Video of your choice (on one of the unit topics we have studied).
 Length is not important.
 Use an adapted language (for your audience to understand).

STEPS TO COMPLETE THE TASK:

 Watch the video


 Complete the worksheet as you watch.
 Identify the key details and concepts. Do not explain every detail.
 Research the definitions of the technical terms (make sure you understand the content).
 Prepare your summary. Record yourself.
 Your recording should be 2-5 minutes.
 Upload your worksheet onto LMS.
 Submit your recording as your teacher instructs you.

-Because I love animals and I want to learn about them and this topic is
very interested for me.

When Roby Crook was born in 1916, his father Efriam was 46 and his mother Josephine
was 38. In 1940, he was 24 years old and living in Tyro, North Carolina with his wife Opal,
daughter, father and mother.he’s moving on with his life.

Part 2:

1. List the main ideas in phrase form.


• How do we know that animals are suffering?
• How do animals feel the danger?
• How do invertebrate animals perceive danger?
• How do vertebrate animals perceive danger?
• Are there enough precautions to prevent animals from suffering?

2. Write an introductory sentence that states the topic of your summary.

• I have summarized which types of animals feel pain and how they perceive it. So what
are people doing to prevent this suffering?what should they do?
3. Turn the main ideas into sentences using your own words. You can combine some of the main
ideas into one sentence.
• Are We know animals how feel the danger?
• Are We know vertebrate and invertebrate animals how perceive danger?
• Some people eating some animals like shrimp ,cramb etc. Maybe this animals feel pain are
We know that’?

4. Write a conclusion for your summary.


• To sum up we need respect to all animals and We don’t eat them because we don’t know
they feel pain or no? and we don’t know some animals like cramb,shrimp,oyster etc. how
feel pain?? Of course We are taking prevent for some animals that be vertebrate but We
need take prevent all animals. We should legislate these as well.
