Material
● 6 ft of 1.5” x 1.5” wood ● 12” x 12” of 19 mm plywood
● 1.5” x 1.5” x 12” – 2 pcs
● 13” x 13” Laminate for the top
● 5 ft of solid wood edge
● 1.5” x 1.5” x 9” - 4 pcs

Steps
● Cut the pieces for stool base to desired length

from your stock

● Use a “shooting board” to square the ends

● Plane each of the pieces to be square

● Markings and cutting for half lap join

● Markings and cutting for mortise and tenon joins

● Cut edge banding to desired length with mitre box

● Attach edge banding to plywood with glue and
nails
● Trim excess with a hand plane
● Paste laminate on the top, use masking tape on
edges
● Trim excess laminate
