You will be assessed on the following Learning Outcomes:

Module 1: - Describe the context of talent management and the process


of recruitment and selection - Discuss guidance on how to avoid
discriminatory practices and the role of workplace diversity - Evaluate
the composition of job descriptions, person specifications, and
practised writing a job purpose - Outline an application form content
and the role of agencies versus direct recruitment - Recall your own
experiences as a candidate, and as a potential interviewer - Analyze
questions around Competences, Motivational Fit, the STAR technique
and writing interview questions

Module 2: - Describe an organisation’s requirement to maintain


personnel data and records - Identify the different types of systems
that can be used to record data - State legal requirements relating to
keeping records and the need for data security - Outline guidance on
how to avoid potential legal issues in the keeping of records -
Summarise the role of online and paper-based record-keeping - Define
self-service and the role it plays in employee record-keeping

Module 3: - Identify the reason for employment policies and


procedures, and why they are in place - Outline working hours, rest
breaks and rest periods, holiday entitlement, leave and time off
including absence - Recognise the role of Pay and Pensions - Explain
the role of Health and Safety at work, including smoking, drugs and
alcohol - Analyze diversity and Equality Sample Policy in its entirety -
Discuss the basis of pay, pensions and other forms of remuneration

Module 4: - Describe employee turnover, reasons and engagement -


Discuss the role of a team, culture, values, how to manage teams and
team communication - Explain the role of performance management,
appraisals, training and coaching - Recall the content of employee
engagement and the role of leadership - Summarise guidance on how to
manage a team meeting and to develop team processes - Analyze
listening, building rapport and feedback-giving skills

Module 5: - Explain what can start the disciplinary process and the
procedure to follow - Analyze a sample disciplinary policy - Recognise
grievances, bullying and harassment - Describe the context of
whistleblowing - Summarise tribunal judgement outcomes - Identify the
main types of employee termination, the reasons and processes
involved
