With about 120,000 employees and operating in
more than 85 countries, Schlumberger offers a vari-
ety of artificial lift products that include electric
submersible pumps (ESPs), gas lift, horizontal sur-
face pumps, sucker-rod pumping and progressive
cavity pumps (PCPs).
The company’s ESP portfolio includes the REDA
Maximus ESP system, REDA Continuum uncon-
ventional extended-life ESP, Hotline high-tempera-
ture ESP system, REDA Coil coiled tubing-deployed
ESP system, EZLine low-temperature ESP system,
ESP system components, DesignRite artificial lift
design and optimization software, and LiftPro well
optimization service.
Furthermore, the company’s gas-lift systems are
designed to improve performance and handle
demanding environments. The gas-lift products
offered include side pocket mandrels, retrievable gas-
lift valves, conventional gas-lift systems, surface flow
control valves and HP/HT gas-lift systems and solu-
tions. The company’s Camco conventional gas-lift
systems include injection-pressure-operated and pro-
duction-pressure-operated models. The company also

has conventional waterflood flow regulator valves
and mandrels for single- and dual-string installations.
Additionally, Schlumberger offers sucker-rod
pumping, and its products include pumpjack units,
rods and downhole equipment, wellhead and sur-
face equipment, pumping unit parts, concrete bases
and prime movers. The pumpjack units offered
include Schlumberger’s conventional crank-bal-
anced and beam-balanced pumping units, Torq-
Max advanced geometry pumping unit, FlexLift
low-profile pumping unit, HG curved beam-pump-
ing unit and hydraulic stroking unit.
Moreover, the company’s PCPs can improve lift
performance and are designed to withstand the
demands of heavy, medium or light oil, as well as
coalbed methane and dewatering applications,
according to the company’s website. Kudu Indus-
tries, a Schlumberger company, provides PCPs that
are suitable for any environment. The pumps also
can be used in highly corrosive wells, thermal appli-
cations, steam-assisted gravity drainage applica-
tions, cyclic steam simulation, and horizontal, slant
and directional wells.
