1. What Ethinylestradiol / Cyproterone acetate is and what it is used for

Ethinylestradiol / Cyproterone acetate is used to treat acne, very oily skin and excessive hair growth in
women (hirsutism). It is only used when other treatments have failed. It also has contraceptive effects,
which means that it prevent pregnancy.

It combines two medicines, Ethinylestradiol which is an estrogen, and Cyproterone acetate an anti-
androgen. They are both hormones. Androgens stimulate hair growth and the grease glands in your skin.
Blocking their effect reduces oil production, acne and hair growth.

2. What you need to know before you take Ethinylestradiol / Cyproterone acetate

Do not take Ethinylestradiol / Cyproterone acetate

 If you’re allergic to the active substances or any other component of this medicine.
 If you have or ever had breast cancer, cancer in the ovaries or uterus.
 If you have blood clots, blood clotting problems or inflammation of the veins (thrombophlebitis).
 If you have or ever had a heart attack, stroke or mini-stroke.
 If you have angina (chest pain) or very high level of fat in your blood.
 If you have an uncontrolled high blood pressure.
 If you have diabetes with vessel problems.
 If you get migraine with visual problems.
 If you have visual problems due to blood vessel disease of the eye.
 If you have liver problems or jaundice (yellowing of the skin and eyes).
 If you ever had a liver tumor.
 If you have hepatitis C and are taking certain medications to treat it.
 If you are taking other hormonal contraceptives.
 If you are pregnant or breast-feeding.

Warnings and precautions

Talk to your doctor about all your medical conditions before taking this medicine including:

 If you are a smoker.

  If you are overweight.
 If you have diabetes.
 If you have hypertension (high blood pressure).
 If you have heart problems.
 If you have high cholesterol (fat) levels in your blood.
 If you have or had any cancer.
 If you have liver or kidney problems.
 If you ever had liver problems in the past, including yellow skin and eyes.
 If you have seizures or epilepsy.
 If you have polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) where cysts grow in the ovaries.
 If you have lupus (SLE).
 If have an inflammatory bowel disease such as Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis.
 f you have brown patches on your face or body (chloasma).
 If you have sickle cell disease.
 If you have depression.
 If you have eye problems.
 If you have a surgery soon.

This medicine increases the risk of blood clots.

Taking this medicine for a long period of time may increase the risk of developing cancer of the breasts,
ovaries or uterus.

This medicine increases the risk of having heart problems especially if you are over 35 years and a
smoker.

Other medicines and Ethinylestradiol / Cyproterone acetate

Tell your doctor about all the medicines you are taking.

Ethinylestradiol / Cyproterone acetate interacts with a lot of medicines including:

 Other hormonal contraceptives

 Medicines used for HIV and hepatitis C: ombitasvir/ paritaprevir/ ritonavir and dasabuvir
 Medicines used to treat epilepsy like carbamazepine, phenytoin
 Medicines used to lower blood pressure
 Medicines used to treat cancer
 Anti-fungals
 Blood thinners
 Medicines used for asthma
 St. John’s Wort (herbal product)

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

Do not take this medicine if you are pregnant or breast-feeding.

Driving and using machines

This medicine is not likely to affect your ability to drive and use any tools or machines.

3. How to take Ethinylestradiol / Cyproterone acetate

 Take as indicated by your doctor.

 If you are relying on Ethinylestradiol / Cyproterone acetate for contraception, you must take it
appropriately, otherwise you might get pregnant.
 If you were previously taking another contraceptive pill, ask your doctor on how to switch.
 Start Ethinylestradiol / Cyproterone acetate on the first day of your cycle (first day of period).
 Take one tablet everyday for 21 days.
 Then you have 7 pill free days. You should have withdrawal bleeding, like a period.
 Take it at the same time every day.
 Swallow tablet whole.
 Do not stay off the pill for more than 7 days.
 If you wish to discontinue treatment and switch to another contraceptive, talk to your doctor.
 If bleeding does not occur during the 7 pill-free days, contact your doctor.

If you take Ethinylestradiol / Cyproterone acetate more than you should

If you take Ethinylestradiol / Cyproterone acetate more than you should you may experience nausea,
vomiting and vaginal bleeding. If you know you have exceeded the recommended daily dose, contact
your doctor, poison center or the hospital immediately.

If you forgot to take Ethinylestradiol / Cyproterone acetate

If you are less than 12 hours late, take it straightaway. Keep taking your pills at the usual time.

If you are more than 12 hours late, or you have missed more than one pill, your contraceptive
protection may be reduced:

 Skip the missed tablet.

 Continue to take a pill every day for the next 7 days.
 If you come to the end of a strip of pills during these 7 days, start the next strip without taking
the usual seven day break.
 Use extra contraception for seven days after missing a pill.

4. Possible side effects

Stop using this product and seek immediate medical help if you develop rash; hives; itching; red,
swollen, blistered, or peeling skin; wheezing; tightness in the chest or throat; trouble breathing,
swallowing, or talking; unusual hoarseness; or swelling of the mouth, face, lips, tongue, or throat.
Stop taking this medicine and call your doctor if you experience an unusual sudden cough, shortness of
breath, partial or complete loss of vision, severe headache, slurred speech, numbness, and severe pain
and swelling in the legs.

Serious side effects

 Blot clots
 Severe depression
 Breast cancer
 Cervical cancer (uterus)
 Liver problems

Common side effects (may affect up to 1 in 10 people)

 Nausea
 Stomach upset
 Headache
 Weight gain
 Mood swings
 Breast tenderness

Uncommon side effects (may affect up to 1 in 100 people)

 Migraine
 Fluid retention
 Breast enlargement
 Rash
 Decreased sex drive

Other side effects include: decreased tolerance to contact lenses, vaginal bleeding or discharge, brown
patches on the skin.

5. How to store Ethinylestradiol / Cyproterone acetate

 Store at room temperature 68 to 77°F (20 to 25°C).

 Keep this medicine out of reach of children.
 Do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the package. The expiry date refers to
the last day of that month.
 Do not throw away any medicines via wastewater or household waste.

‫‪ .1‬ما هو إيثينيل إستراديول ‪ /‬سيبروتيرون أسيتات وما هو استخدامه‬
‫تستخدم تركيبة إيثينيل إستراديول ‪ /‬سيبروتيرون أسيتات لعالج حب الشباب (البثور)‪ ،‬البشرة الدهنية جداً‪ ،‬ونمو الشعر الزائد‬
‫عند النساء‪ .‬يتم استخدامه فقط عندما تفشل العالجات األخرى‪ .‬لها أيضا ً تأثير مانع للحمل‪.‬‬
‫يجمع هذا العقار دوائين‪ ،‬إيثينيل إستراديول وهو هرمون االستروجين ‪ ،‬وسيبروتيرون أسيتات و هو هرمون مضاد‬
‫لألندروجين‪ .‬تحفز األندروجين نمو الشعر والغدد الدهنية في بشرتك‪ .‬منع تأثيرها يقلل من إنتاج الدهون في البشرة وحب‬
‫الشباب ونمو الشعر‪.‬‬
‫‪ .2‬ما تحتاج إلى معرفته قبل تناول إيثينيل إستراديول ‪ /‬سيبروتيرون أسيتات‬
‫ال تأخذ إيثينيل إستراديول ‪ /‬سيبروتيرون أسيتات‬

‫إذا كان لديك حساسية من المواد الفعالة أو أي من المكونات األخرى لهذا الدواء‪.‬‬ ‫‪‬‬
‫إذا كنت تعانين أو أصبت من قبل بسرطان الثدي‪ ،‬أو سرطان المبيض أو الرحم‪.‬‬ ‫‪‬‬
‫إذا كنت تعانين من جلطات دموية أو مشاكل تجلط الدم أو التهاب في األوردة‪.‬‬ ‫‪‬‬
‫إذا كنت قد أصبت بنوبة قلبية أو سكتة دماغية‪.‬‬ ‫‪‬‬
‫إذا كنت تعانين من الذبحة الصدرية (ألم في الصدر) أو نسبة عالية جدًا من الدهون في الدم‪.‬‬ ‫‪‬‬
‫إذا كنت تعانين من ارتفاع ضغط الدم غير المنضبط‪.‬‬ ‫‪‬‬
‫إذا كنت تعانين من مرض السكري مع مشاكل في األوعية الدموية‪.‬‬ ‫‪‬‬
‫إذا أصبت بالصداع النصفي مع مشاكل بصرية‪.‬‬ ‫‪‬‬
‫إذا كنت تعانين من مشاكل بصرية بسبب مرض األوعية الدموية في العين‪.‬‬ ‫‪‬‬
‫إذا كنت تعانين من مشاكل في الكبد أو اليرقان (اصفرار الجلد والعينين)‪.‬‬ ‫‪‬‬
‫إذا كان لديك ورم في الكبد‪.‬‬ ‫‪‬‬
‫إذا كنت مصابًة بالتهاب الكبد ‪ C‬وتتناولين بعض األدوية لعالجه‪.‬‬ ‫‪‬‬
‫إذا كنت تتناولين موانع حمل هرمونية أخرى‪.‬‬ ‫‪‬‬
‫إذا كنت حامالً أو مرضعة‪.‬‬ ‫‪‬‬
 ‫المحاذير واإلحتياطات‬

‫أخبر طبيبك عن جميع حاالتك الصحية ‪ ،‬بما في ذلك‪:‬‬

‫إذا كنت مدخنة‪.‬‬ ‫‪‬‬

‫إذا كنت تعاني من زيادة الوزن‪.‬‬ ‫‪‬‬
‫إذا كنت تعانين من مرض السكري‪.‬‬ ‫‪‬‬
‫إذا كنت تعانين من ارتفاع ضغط الدم‪.‬‬ ‫‪‬‬
‫إذا كنت تعانين من مشاكل في القلب‪.‬‬ ‫‪‬‬
‫إذا كان لديك ارتفاع في مستويات الكوليسترول (الدهون) في الدم‪.‬‬ ‫‪‬‬
‫إذا لديك أو كان لديك أي سرطان‪.‬‬ ‫‪‬‬
‫إذا كنت تعانين من مشاكل في الكبد أو الكلى‪.‬‬ ‫‪‬‬
‫إذا عانيت في الماضي من مشاكل في الكبد‪ ،‬بما في ذلك اصفرار الجلد والعينين‪.‬‬ ‫‪‬‬
‫إذا كنت تعانين من نوبات الصرع‪.‬‬ ‫‪‬‬
‫إذا كنت تعانين من متالزمة تكيس المبايض (‪ )PCOS‬حيث تنمو األكياس في المبايض‪.‬‬ ‫‪‬‬
‫إذا كنت تعانين من الذئبة‪.‬‬ ‫‪‬‬
‫إذا كنت تعانين من مرض التهاب األمعاء مثل مرض كرون أو التهاب القولون التقرحي‪.‬‬ ‫‪‬‬
‫إذا كانت لديك بقع بنية على وجهك أو جسمك (كلف)‪.‬‬ ‫‪‬‬
‫إذا كنت تعانين من مرض فقر الدم المنجلي‪.‬‬ ‫‪‬‬
‫إذا كنت تعانين من االكتئاب‪.‬‬ ‫‪‬‬
‫إذا كان لديك مشاكل في العين‪.‬‬ ‫‪‬‬
‫إذا كنت ستخضعين لعملية جراحية قريبًا‪.‬‬ ‫‪‬‬
‫قد يزيد هذا العقار من احتمال التعرض لجلطات دموية‪.‬‬
‫قد يؤدي تناول هذا العقار لفترة طويلة من الزمن إلى زيادة خطر اإلصابة بسرطان الثدي أو المبيض أو الرحم‪.‬‬
‫يزيد هذا العقار من خطر التعرض لمشاكل القلب خاصة إذا كان عمرك أكثر من ‪ 35‬عاما ً و أنت مدخنة‪.‬‬

‫أدوية أخرى و إيثينيل إستراديول ‪ /‬سيبروتيرون أسيتات‬

‫أخبر طبيبك عن جميع األدوية التي تتناولها‪.‬‬

‫يتفاعل إيثينيل إستراديول ‪ /‬سيبروتيرون أسيتات مع الكثير من العقارات و منها‪:‬‬

‫موانع الحمل الهرمونية األخرى‬ ‫‪‬‬

‫األدوية المستخدمة لفيروس نقص المناعة البشرية والتهاب الكبد ‪ :C‬أومبيتاسفير ‪ /‬باريتابريفير ‪ /‬ريتونافير‬ ‫‪‬‬
‫وداسابوفير‬
‫األدوية المستخدمة لعالج نوبات الصرع مثل كاربامازيبين‪ ،‬فينيتوين‬ ‫‪‬‬
‫األدوية المستخدمة لخفض ضغط الدم‬ ‫‪‬‬
‫األدوية المستخدمة في عالج السرطان‬ ‫‪‬‬
 ‫مضادات الفطريات‬ ‫‪‬‬
‫مضادات تخثر الدم‬ ‫‪‬‬
‫األدوية المستخدمة لعالج الربو‬ ‫‪‬‬
‫نبتة سانت جون (منتج عشبي)‬ ‫‪‬‬

‫الحمل والرضاعة‬

‫ال تتناولي هذا العقار إذا كنت حامالً أو مرضعة‪.‬‬

‫القيادة واستخدام اآلالت‬
‫غير ذات صلة‪.‬‬

‫‪ .3‬كيف تأخذ إيثينيل إستراديول ‪ /‬سيبروتيرون أسيتات‬

‫تناول هذا العقار حسبما أمر طبيبك‪.‬‬ ‫‪‬‬

‫إذا كنت تعتمدين على إيثينيل إستراديول ‪ /‬سيبروتيرون أسيتات لمنع الحمل‪ ،‬فيجب عليك تناوله بانتظام‪.‬‬ ‫‪‬‬
‫إذا كنت تتناولين في السابق حبوب اخرى لمنع حمل‪ ،‬اسألي طبيبك عن كيفية التبديل‪.‬‬ ‫‪‬‬
‫ابدأي إيثينيل إستراديول ‪ /‬سيبروتيرون أسيتات في اليوم األول من دورتك‪.‬‬ ‫‪‬‬
‫صا واحدًا يوميًا لمدة ‪ 21‬يو ًما‪.‬‬
‫تناولي قر ً‬ ‫‪‬‬
‫ثم لديك ‪ 7‬أيام خالية من حبوب منع الحمل‪ .‬يجب أن يكون لديك نزيف مهبلي‪ ،‬مثل الدورة الشهرية‪.‬‬ ‫‪‬‬
‫تناولي العقار في نفس الوقت كل يوم‪.‬‬ ‫‪‬‬
‫ابتالعي القرص كامالً‪.‬‬ ‫‪‬‬
‫ال تتوقفي عن تناول حبوب منع الحمل ألكثر من ‪ 7‬أيام‪.‬‬ ‫‪‬‬
‫إذا كنت ترغبين في وقف العالج والتحويل إلى وسيلة أخرى لمنع الحمل‪ ،‬تحدثي إلى طبيبك‪.‬‬ ‫‪‬‬
‫إذا لم يحدث نزيف مهبلي خالل األيام السبعة الخالية من حبوب منع الحمل‪ ،‬اتصلي بطبيبك‪.‬‬ ‫‪‬‬
‫إذا كنت تتناول إيثينيل إستراديول ‪ /‬سيبروتيرون أسيتات أكثر مما يجب‬
‫إذا كنت تتناولين إيثينيل إستراديول ‪ /‬سيبروتيرون أسيتات أكثر مما يجب‪ ،‬فقد تعانين من الغثيان والقيء والنزيف المهبلي‪.‬‬
‫إذا كنت تعلمين أنك تجاوزت الجرعة اليومية الموصى بها‪ ،‬فاتصلي بطبيبك أو مركز السموم أو المستشفى على الفور‪.‬‬
‫إذا نسيت تناول إيثينيل إستراديول ‪ /‬سيبروتيرون أسيتات‬
‫إذا مر أقل من ‪ 12‬ساعة عن الجرعة الفائتة‪ ،‬خذهيا فور تذكرك‪ .‬استمري في تناول أقراصك في الوقت المعتاد‪.‬‬
‫إذا مر أكثر من ‪ 12‬ساعة عن الجرعة الفائتة‪ ،‬أو فاتك أكثر من جرعة واحدة‪ ،‬فقد تقل فعالية وسيلة منع الحمل‪:‬‬

‫تخطي الجرعة الفائتة‪.‬‬ ‫‪‬‬

‫استمري في تناول األقراص كل يوم لمدة ‪ 7‬أيام قادمة‪.‬‬ ‫‪‬‬
‫إذا وصلت إلى نهاية العلبة خالل هذه األيام السبعة‪ ،‬ابدئي العلبة التالية دون وقف السبعة أيام المعتادة‪.‬‬ ‫‪‬‬
‫استخدمي وسائل منع حمل إضافية لمدة سبعة أيام بعد نسيان جرعة‪.‬‬ ‫‪‬‬
 ‫‪ .4‬اآلثار الجانبية المحتملة‬

‫توقف عن استخدام هذا المنتج واطلب العناية الطبية الفورية إذا أصبت بطفح جلدي ؛ حكة؛ جلد أحمر أو متقرح أو مقشر؛‬
‫ضيق في الصدر أو الحلق؛ صعوبة في التنفس أو البلع أو التحدث ؛ بحة غير عادية أو انتفاخ الفم أو الوجه أو الشفتين أو‬
‫اللسان أو الحلق‪ .‬التردد الذي تحدث به هذه اآلثار الجانبية غير معروف‪.‬‬
‫توقف عن تناول هذا الدواء واتصل بطبيبك إذا كنت تعاني من سعال مفاجئ غير عادي‪ ،‬ضيق في التنفس‪ ،‬فقدان جزئي أو‬
‫كامل للرؤية‪ ،‬صداع شديد‪ ،‬تداخل في الكالم‪ ،‬أو ألم شديد وتورم في الساقين‪.‬‬
‫أعراض جانبية خطيرة‬

‫سرطان عنق الرحم‬ ‫‪‬‬

‫أعراض جانبية شائعة (قد تصيب ما يصل إلى ‪ 1‬من كل ‪ 10‬أشخاص)‬

‫الغثيان‬ ‫‪‬‬
‫اضطراب المعدة‬ ‫‪‬‬
‫الصداع‬ ‫‪‬‬
‫زيادة الوزن‬ ‫‪‬‬
‫تقلب المزاج‬ ‫‪‬‬
‫ألم و تورم الثدي‬ ‫‪‬‬
‫أعراض جانبية غير شائعة (قد تصيب ما يصل إلى ‪ 1‬من كل ‪ 100‬أشخاص)‬

‫صداع نصفي‬ ‫‪‬‬

‫احتباس السوائل‬ ‫‪‬‬
‫تضخم الثدي‬ ‫‪‬‬
‫طفح جلدي‬ ‫‪‬‬
‫انخفاض الدافع الجنسي‬ ‫‪‬‬
‫أعراض جانبية اخرى‪ :‬عدم تحمل العدسات الالصقة‪ ،‬نزيف مهبلي أو إفرازات‪ ،‬كلف‪.‬‬

‫‪ .5‬كيفية تخزين إيثينيل إستراديول ‪ /‬سيبروتيرون أسيتات‬

‫يخزن في درجة حرارة الغرفة من ‪ 68‬إلى ‪ 77‬درجة فهرنهايت (‪ 20‬إلى ‪ 25‬درجة مئوية)‪.‬‬ ‫‪‬‬
‫احفظ هذا الدواء بعيدًا عن متناول األطفال‪.‬‬ ‫‪‬‬
‫ال تستخدم هذا الدواء بعد تاريخ انتهاء الصالحية المذكورعلى العلبة‪.‬‬ ‫‪‬‬
‫ال تتخلص من أي أدوية عن طريق مياه الصرف الصحي أو النفايات المنزلية‪.‬‬ ‫‪‬‬
