Welcome and Vision Statement

I am glad to welcome you to the ICEC international and private schools providing our vision and
commitment to offering a world-class education to all Myanmar's young and motivated students. They
may be able to become self-sufficient, develop their distinctive ability, and gain self-assurance.
I am proud to be the founder of ICEC international school and ICEC private schools as well.
With my boundless energy and determination, I am dedicated to ensuring progressive and ongoing
learning for all Myanmar's young and enthusiastic learners. As a result, in addition to ICEC private
school and Pearson-based ICEC international school, I have consciously chosen to build a parallel
school.
I am committed to providing a strong and compassionate system of support and supervision for young
people, since it is critical that they feel safe and comfortable in their learning environment.
We are fortunate to have a staff of exceptionally dedicated and qualified individuals who are
committed to helping the students of ICEC international school and ICEC private school as they grow
year after year. I am delighted to welcome you to our educational institutions.

Your sincerely,

U Aye Kyaw
Founder of ICEC international and Private Schools.

Communication!

We believe that good communication between home and school is key to a strong parental partnership. We
rely on parents to engage with us by checking the Parent Portal and the calendar on the website on a regular
basis. We keep you up-to-date through the school website, app, email, text and social media.
How you communicate with us:
Email: icecprivateschool01@iceceducation.com
Telephone: 09-444445536 , 09-44445537, 09-795886818
Office hour: 8 am - 5 pm (Monday - Friday) , 8 am - 2 pm (Saturday)

Behaviour and Discipline

We foster good behaviour by praise, positive reinforcement and leading by example, treating children as we
would wish to be treated ourselves. We have a set of principles, agreed with parents and children, which form
our Home-School Agreement. We ask you to help your child understand these commitments and reinforce them
at home. From time to time, all children display unacceptable behaviour which we recognise as a normal part
of the child’s development. The implications of such behaviour are discussed with the child at the time, in a
language that they can understand. Where unacceptable behaviour persists, we will discuss the issues with
parents and agree a strategy which can be supported at home.

During the virtual teaching and learning phase, we encourage parents and caregivers not to exert pressure on
their children's learning. During such sections, we ask that parents and caregivers be supportive; the school will
not tolerate any inappropriate behaviour, such as physical punishment, scolding with harsh language,
inappropriate background stimuli, or background noises. As soon as we discover it, the school's administrators
will notify parents or caretakers, and if the behaviour continues, the school will take strong measures, such as
taking a week off from school or expelling the student from the school environment.

Equality

We provide equality of opportunity for all children and modify activities, resources and our premises to ensure
equitable access. We recognise that many different types of families successfully love and care for their
children. We aim to show respectful awareness of all the major events in the lives of the families of the school
and in our society as a whole, welcoming the diversity of backgrounds from which we come.

Procedures For Notifying Absence And Requesting Leave

Notifying Absence

● The office must be notified before 8.50am if your child will not be attending school (due to illness,
etc). Your child’s absences can be advised via the school app or a message can be left on the school
viber phone at any time .

● If an absence is not reported by 9.30 a.m., the school will add it to the unreported absence list.

● If an unreported absence continues for two days in a row, the school will contact the parents first to
investigate.

● The absence will be coded as unauthorised in the register if a reason is not provided. Doctors’/dentists’
appointments should be arranged for outside school hours. If appointments during school hours are
unavoidable, please notify the office and teachers in advance.

Requesting Leave

There is a clear link between attendance at school and good progress. Our school days are filled with important
teaching, activities and experiences which introduce new learning, knowledge and skills, and reinforce those
already covered.

● Parents do not have the right to withdraw their child from school for holidays. School holiday dates
and calendars are published on our website as soon as we have them and parents should arrange their
family holidays during these times.
● If an absence in term time is unavoidable, an Application For Leave Of Absence form must be
completed, preferably well in advance. Authorisation can only be granted in exceptional circumstances.
Forms are available from the school office and website. You may be asked to complete a form in
retrospect.
● Please note that students will not be granted leave of absence during the Pearson Examination week
Concerns and Complaints.

We believe that most complaints are made constructively and can be sorted out at an early stage. They will be
taken seriously and dealt with fairly and in a way which respects confidentiality. If you are uneasy about any
aspect of the provision at ICEC international school, you should first talk over any worries or anxieties with
