A) ONLINE COUNSELLING REGISTRATION:

1. The counselling for admission of candidates to NLU Delhi is online Only.
2. Based on the AILET merit, candidates will be invited category-wise for
online counselling registration, with approximately three times the
number of candidates corresponding to the available seats in each
category.
3. All candidates are advised to login to the AILET account to check if they
have been invited for online counselling registration.
4. Additionally, eligible candidates will receive an email/SMS on their
registered email ID/mobile number for AILET 2024 inviting them for
online counselling registration.
5. NLU Delhi will not take responsibility for undelivered emails/SMS
6. The Online Counselling Registration Fee for candidates is as follows:
• General/Kashmiri Migrants/Residents of Jammu and Kashmir
Category: Rs. 30,000.00
• ST/SC/OBC/EWS/PwD category: Rs. 20,000.00

7. Candidates must pay the Counselling Registration Fee before the

specified deadline. Requests for payments after the deadline will not be
considered under any circumstance.

8. Payments are accepted only via online mode. Candidates are

advised not to wait until the last minute to make payments to
avoid payment-related issues. NLU Delhi will not be responsible for
any payment issues. Candidates must wait for a ‘Payment Successful’
message. Requests for late payments due to transaction failures or
other issues will not be entertained.
9. The Counselling Registration Fee must be paid through digital payment
methods like Credit/Debit Card, Net-banking, UPI, etc.
10. Candidates must upload the following self-attested documents in serial
order (in PDF format in one file) while registering for Online Counselling:

• Certificates/marks sheets showing a minimum aggregate of 45%

marks (40% for SC/ST/Persons with Disability) in the Higher
Secondary School Examination (10+2) or equivalent, by June 1,
2024.
• Statement of Marks Class Xth
• The candidate passed in compartment in the year of the admission,
would be treated as ineligible.
• Valid Character Certificate from the last attended institution (not
more than six months old).
• Valid category certificate (PwD/SC/ST/OBC/EWS/KM/
Resident of Jammu and Kashmir, etc.). The OBC (Non-Creamy
Layer) certificate should be issued by the competent
authority under the Central List of OBCs or under the Delhi
State List of OBCs (Notified by the Government of NCT of
Delhi) on or after April 1, 2023. The EWS certificate should
be issued on or after April 2023. Any other supporting
document for the applied seat category.

• The University will issue a category-wise provisional merit list

only for candidates who have completed online counselling
registration and paid the required fee within the stipulated time.
Mere registration does not guarantee a seat.

B) PROVISIONAL MERIT LIST OF SELECTED CANDIDATES (CATEGORY

WISE)
1. Provisionally Selected Candidates must pay the Provisional
Admission Confirmation Fee of Rs. 50,000.00 within the stipulated
time. Failure to do so will result in automatic cancellation of the
provisional admission offer, and the counselling fee paid will be
forfeited. No requests for extension will be entertained.
2. Provisional admission confirmation Fee of Rs.50,000.00 shall be
paid through the same login (AILET 2024 account) via which,
candidates have registered for Online Counselling.
3. After payment, provisionally selected candidates must immediately
download their Provisional Admission Offer Letter from their AILET-
2024 account.
4. To accept the provisional admission offer, candidates must sign each
page of the provisional admission offer letter and upload it to their
AILET-2024 account along with a signed undertaking from the
candidate and parents.
5. In case any vacancy arises due to withdrawal of admission or non-
payment of balance fee (Annexure-I) by the provisionally selected
candidate within the stipulated time period, the seat shall be filled
up from the candidates of concerned categories who have registered
for online counselling in order of merit.
6. Requests for fee payment after the deadline will not be considered
under any circumstances. Candidates are advised to avoid last-
minute payments to prevent payment-related issues. NLU Delhi will
not be responsible for any payment-related issues. Candidates must
ensure they receive a "Payment Successful" message and

acknowledgment slip. Requests due to transaction failures or other

issues after the deadline will not be considered.
7. The University will refund the counselling fee only to candidates who
successfully registered for Online Counselling, paid the counselling
fee, but couldn't secure a place in the any provisional merit list due
to higher cut-offs. The refund process will commence after March
15, 2024.
8. The University will hold the counselling fee of 10% of the total
sanctioned seats of each category until the admission process is
completed, refunding it after June 30, 2024, or upon the closure of
admission process, whichever is later.
9. The counselling fee will be refunded to the same account used for
payment. Requests for refunds to other accounts will not be
entertained.

C) HOSTEL ACCOMMODATION

1. Due to paucity of hostel accommodation, the National Law

University Delhi shall not be able to provide the hostel facilities to
the newly admitted students of B.A.LL.B.(Hons.) Programme from
Delhi/NCR. However, students from outside Delhi/ NCR may be
considered for hostel accommodation subject to availability of rooms
in men’s and women’s hostels as per the policy of the university.
2. Allotment of the hostel cannot be claimed as a matter of right.
3. The University will prioritize accommodation for girls and boys from
outside Delhi/NCR regions.
4. No hostel accommodation is available for the Delhi/NCR students.
5. The University will notify the schedule for allotment of hostel to the
outside Delhi/NCR students by June 10, 2024. The hostel fee shall
be paid at the time of allotment of hostel only.
6. Construction of new Halls of Residence for students is scheduled to
begin soon in the additional land adjacent to the campus.
