USEFUL KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS AND VIEW OPERATIONS IN

GENIE
 The following view operations and
shortcuts
assumes that you have the “Rotate “option
active

 Rotate: Hold RMB and move mouse. The point you clicked on will be the centre of rotation.

 Pan: Hold Ctrl key + RMB and move mouse.

 Zoom in / Zoom out: Use mouse wheel back and forth

 Zoom in selected area: Hold Shift + Ctrl and drag a rectangle with RMB.

 To reset/change view, use the following buttons or keyboard shortcuts:

Figure 1 – Isometric view (F5) Figure 2 – From negative y-direction (F7)

F6 * 2 -> Section View

Figure 3 - From positive x-direction (F6)

Figure 4 - From positive z-direction (F8)

Other useful keyboard shortcuts are:

 Show selection only: Select a concept and press Alt S
 Remove selection: Select a concept and press Alt -
 Add selection: Select a concept (hidden concepts can be selected in brower in the Structure
folder) and press Alt +
 Show complement: Press Alt Q

o X + RMB – Rotate model around axis that is currently in vertical position
o C + RMB – Rotate camera
o Z + RMB – Rotate camera
o S + RMB – Set camera to see model in horizontal position

 F5 - ISO view
o F6 - View from X axis
o F7 - View from Y axis
o F8 - View from Z axis
o F9 - Fit (zoom in/out to fit model in screen)
o F10 - Spin model

 Modelling
o F11 - Snap perpendicular/tangential/plane/eccentric (select option via Toolbar button)
o ESC - cancel operations/go to selection mode
