Every day, homeless people are suffering from
poverty and poor health on our city’s streets and
in recent years, the problem has only worsened.
We need to take immediate action.
A useful suggestion is to offer more advice and
support about job opportunities to homeless
people. For instance, there could be free classes
available in community centres around the city.
By doing this, we would be giving homeless
people the chance to permanently improve their
situations for themselves.
Another solution could be to provide a place for
people to sleep and eat at night. For example,
we could build more homeless shelters. This
would mean that homeless people are offered
safety, warmth and nutrition.
The problem of homelessness in our city cannot
be solved overnight. But, by providing services
and facilities to homeless people, we can help
them to better look after themselves.
