1) Sir Syed Ahmad Khan worked tirelessly for the education and awareness of Muslims after the War of

Independence in 1857. He founded the Aligarh Movement, establishing schools and institutions to
promote modern education among Muslims. He believed in the Two-Nation Theory, emphasizing the
distinct identity of Hindus and Muslims based on religion, history, and culture.

2) Begum Rana Liaquat Ali Khan was a leading activist in the Pakistan Movement. As the wife of the first
Prime Minister of Pakistan, Liaquat Ali Khan, she played a crucial role in raising political awareness
among women. After the creation of Pakistan, she became the first lady and launched projects for the
welfare of women and children. She founded the All Pakistan Women Association (APWA) and served as
the governor of Sindh, becoming Pakistan's first female provincial governor.

3) The people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa actively participated in the Pakistan Movement. They raised their
voices for their rights, and in 1947, a referendum was held to determine whether Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
should join Pakistan or India. The majority of the people declared their choice to join Pakistan through
the referendum, making Khyber Pakhtunkhwa a province of Pakistan.
