Project title:
Plan:
N1 public school of ambrolauri presents the project, which since 2021 has been involved in the eco-schools project
implemented by the organization "Protect the Cleanliness of Georgia". Within the framework of the project, the eco-
committee developed an action plan, according to which a recreational space was organized on 600 square meters in the
school yard: 75 deciduous and evergreen trees were planted. The goal of the school is to use the recreational space as
much as possible in the teaching process, where open lessons will be held in order to raise environmental awareness.
Also, the members of the eco-committee will make presentations about their eco-activities.
The school's goal is to actively engage in environmental activities, minimize water consumption and promote waste
reduction and recycling.
The Eco Committee's idea is to use a drip irrigation system in the recreational space of the school, which will be
installed on the fountain in the yard, from which the drained water will accumulate in a special reservoir. Rainwater will
also be collected, and if necessary, plants in the yard will be watered with a drip system.
Waste separation boxes will also be set up in the recreational space, and Ambrolauri N1 public school will be an
innovator throughout the municipality, as there are no such separation boxes in Ambrolauri.
In the area of the square there is also a composting box, which the school obtained through a small grant from an
international organization. Every year leaves are collected in it and compost is made, which is used to fertilize the
plants.
How will the project promote the adoption of a circular economy mind-set in the place where it is
implemented? (200 words)
