Bristol, United Kingdom (willing to relocate)

During my undergraduate studies I gained considerable expertise in flora and ecology, as these
were one of the main focuses in my bachelors. I studied Plant Biology (3.3), Geoscience (4.1),
Taxonomy and Systematics of Basal Embryophytes (3.7), Taxonomy and Systematics of
Spermatophyte (3.9), among others. Additionally, my previous experience volunteering at the
Universidad del Quindío’s Herbarium has provided me with the essential skills needed to
maintain and conserve all plant specimens. I was in charge of their maintenance, taxonomy,
processing new plant specimens, cataloguing, organising and updating the database.
Furthermore, my undergraduate dissertation project focused on the functional traits of an
endangered plant species endemic to the Andean region, where I learned how to monitor the
plants, collect data samples, data analysis and interpretation.

Also, my experience as a Bat and Reptile Surveyor with Spalding Associates has equipped me
with valuable field experience, allowing me to interpret and analyse a wide range of
environmental and ecological data, a critical requirement for the position. I am confident that my
proficiency in conducting transect and emergence surveys, coupled with my effective
communication with clients, will enable me to deliver succinct reports and presentations for a
variety of audiences.

Likewise, my bilingual proficiency and experience as a Bilingual Interpreter at Teleperformance

has honed my active listening and communication skills, enabling me to network effectively
within the global conservation movement and work strategically with other team members.

I have recently finished a MSc in Conservation and Biodiversity at the University of Exeter,
where I undertook modules in Statistical modelling, Planning and Leading Conservation
Projects, Biodiversity Conservation, all of which are relevant for my professional development
as an Ecologist. Additionally, I completed a C++ course where I gained efficient skills in data
processing and simulations, complementing my existing abilities in R.
With a Masters' degree in relevant disciplines, extensive field experience, and a deep
understanding of ecological principles, I possess the essential attributes and experience listed as
requirements for the position. My positive and collaborative attitude will enable me to work
effectively with diverse stakeholders, including client organizations with differing core values.

I am confident that my dedication, adaptability, and commitment to continuous professional

growth make me a suitable candidate for the position of Conservation Assistant Endemic Plant
Restoration.

Thank you for considering my application.

Yours sincerely,
