Slab
1. A Composite Slab will be adopted for the building structure outside the
structure core from the ground floor to the roof floor. Forming holes in the
composite slab shall be prohibited unless prior approval (in writing) from the
Engineer for each specific case. Hence, post-drilled anchor bolts are not
appropriate for hanging MEP services at composite deck locations. Where
composite slab structure, the 'Bon-nut' or 'equivalent approved' shall be used.

4. As requested by the Architects, the Sub-Contractor shall include all the cost
for the load test by an independent laboratory witnessed by a Registered
Professional Engineer in relevant disciplines. The test report shall be
submitted for the Architect's approval.
A heavy duty trapezoidal prism nut adhered to a paper strip to allow easy insertion
from below into the BONDEK® II ribs. Threaded rods may then be screwed into the
BON-NUT and locked into position. Available in four convenient thread sizes (M6,
M8, M10 and M12), BON-NUT may be used to support threaded rods for various
services and suspended ceilings.
Material Specification
BON-NUT is galvanized steel nut with ISO metric precision Grade 8 complied with
BS EN ISO 898-2, and Corrosion protection system shall be complied with BS EN
ISO 1461.
Step 1: By holding the paper strip, BON-NUT is turned into vertical position and
insert into ribs of Lysaght Bondek® II decking.
Step 4: Threaded rod is screwed into the BON-NUT and locked into position.
Step 5: Threaded rod is well fixed and ready for use in various services and
suspended ceilings purposes.
