Be ready to bowl when it’s your turn. Let the bowler on the right go first. Never stand on the approach when a bowler on the next lane is ready to bowl. Stay out of their field of vision. Walk back on your side of the approach. Keep your movements or “Body English” within your area of play. Avoid drifting to the other lane after you made your delivery. Avoid bothering other bowlers as they prepare to bowl. Use proper language. Control your emotions and temper. Return rented shoes to the shoe counter and the house balls to the ball racks after bowling. Keep food and drinks behind the player’s area.
SAFETY BOWLING TIPS
Avoid moisture on your sole.
Avoid using powder on your shoes. Dry your hands before picking up your ball. When you pick up the ball from the ball return grasp the ball from the sides using both hands. Do not insert the finger and thumb in the ball when picking it up. Make sure the area around you is clear before you make a practice swing with the ball. Avoid putting your hand inside the ball return when waiting for the ball or when the ball is stuck.
