 KAZO YOUTH EMPOWERMENT GROUP

ARTICLE 1: NAME OF A GROUP

The group shall be called "KAZO YOUTH EMPOWERMENT GROUP”.
ARTICLE 2: LOCATION OF A GROUP
It is found in kazo district .

ARTICLE 3: GROUP MEMBERS

Her membership is open to all youth from kazo distict both male and female .

ARTICLE 4: VISION OF THE GROUP

To end poverty in youth through job creation , financial awareness and friendship
enlargement among youths of kazo .
ARTICLE 5: MISSION OF THE GROUP

To encourage Job creation rather than job seeking to our youths of kazo district .

ARTICLE 6: AIMS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE GROUP.

To create jobs to our selves as youths of kazo district .

To fight poverty not only to kazo but also the entire nation of Uganda .
To reduce on the level of dependant among the youths in our families .
To start a Sacco and encourage saving culture among members
To pattern with other fundamental sectors of the district to attain development of of
kazo district .

To increase awareness on how to reduce unemployment problem among the youths

of kazo district .
To access financial assistance from banks, government institutions, donors
NGO’s and individual persons.
To uplift personal development among its members
ARTICLE 7: WHO IS A MEMBER OF THE GROUP?
A person who is 18 years and above from kazo district .

 Must be from kazo district
A person who is unemployment reduction oriented .
Falling in youth blacket age (18_35)years .
Abides by the rules and regulations of the group .
A person with creditable morals and hardworking
A sane person with sound mind
A person who is dynamic and ready to move with majority
A person who is ready to defend the constitution of the group without fear or favour.

ARTICLE 8: RIGHTS OF A MEMBER IN AGROUP .

All members have equal rights in the group .
Every member has a right to chat, contribute, and benefit from all services
offered by the group , subject to financial byelaws.
Every member has a right to vote and stand in any executive office.
Every member’s idea or opinion shall be respected in accordance to the
constitution.
A member opting to leave the group shall be required to write to the executive three
months prior written notice.
The rights of members herein may be revised or reviewed by all members in
general meeting.
ARTICLE 9: MANAGEMENT (ORGANIZATION) OF THE GROUP.

The executive Members of seven people will be elected to serve a period of two years
after which secret ballot election / online voting will take place. A member can be re-
elected into any executive post based on personal contribution towards betterment and
development of the group /Association.
If during the term of office of a committee, a vacancy occurs in the membership of the
committee's, the committee may or if the number drops below five, shall co-opt a
member to act on the committee until the next general meeting or election.

Responsibilities of Respective Executive Members
I.Chairperson
Chairing the meetings of the group
A signatory to group’s bank account
Overseeing all transactions and management of the association
Accounting for all finances for the group
Ensure discipline of the group members
Call executive and general meeting.
Vice chairperson
Deputies the chairperson
Chair the meeting under the absence of chairperson
Monitor the discipline of thegroup's members
Ensure that all members attend meetings
Chair disciplinary committees to handle indiscipline cases.
General Secretary
Keep all records of the group
Take minutes in all meetings
Take roll calls in all meetings
Shall be a signatory to bank account
IV.Treasurer
To keep all financial records of the association
To prepare financial reports quarterly
A signatory to group’s account
Source for finances of the group.
Advisor
Shall from time to time advise on all matters concerning the group
Propose modern ideas towards betterment of the group
Be neutral to all members and executive
Shall be a person of credible conduct
Shall be resourceful person of whose judgment may be relied upon
Shall restore hope to all group members.
VI. Mobiliser
Verbally call members for any meeting
Shall solicit for donor support for the association
Shall relate our group with surrounding communities

ARTICLE 11: FUTURE PLANS OF THE GROUP.
The group has a plan of acquiring assets like plots, office, bank accounts, form a
U SACCO among others to benefit its members.
The group has a plan of wining and acquiring tenders in kazo district.
Thegroup will work hand in hand with local government to create jobs for youths in
kazo district .
ARTICLE 12: DEATH
If a member dies the group will give the contributions to the deceased family /
member
ARTICLE 13: FINANCES AND BANK ACCOUNT
The group intends to open up bank account in a recognized bank. A minimum of
(1000000) Two hundred thousand shillings shall be kept onour bank account to cater
for emergencies.
The account shall be operated in Centenary Bank in the names of Kazo Youths
empowerment group .
The account shall be operated by three signatories
Chairman as the principal signatory
General secretary
Treasurer
Financial statement shall be given to the meeting by the treasurer in the general
meetings.
Bank statement reconciliation shall be done every four months.
ARTICLE 14: DISCIPLINE OF MEMBERS
Time for meetings especially general meeting shall be 3:00pm(tata mount )to change .
A fine shall be imposed on the members who absent themselves without genuine
reasons. This penalty shall be revised from time to time in general
meetings .
Members shall abide by the rules and regulations of the group set in general
assembly.
A member shall write an apology letter upon three consecutive absences from
general meetings.
