from sugar cane.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and
make comparisons where relevant. Write at least 150 words.

Writing Task 1 - General

Task 1: You are going on a short course to a training college abroad. It is a college
that you have not been to before.
Write a letter to the accommodation officer. In your letter,
● give details of your course and your arrival/departure date
● explain your accommodation needs
● ask for information about getting to and from the college

Task 2: In their advertising business nowadays they usually emphasize that their
products are new in some way.
Why is this? Do you think it is a positive or negative development? Write at least
